New iPad never used with the church's wifi. It never connected so it couldn't synch. Problem solved! I'll try again at a later time!

Because of the (re)lock-down, I'll be pre-recording my Christmas sermon in... 40 minutes! I thought it'd be a perfect and safe setting to try to preach from the iPad for the first time, but my sermon is not there! Actually, it is, but just as it's first version: just a title!!! I tried to push on "sync", but nothing happens. If no one replies to this

"Power user tip": 1. (Parce

Christian, my conclusion after this exchange is that it's better to pay a few bucks extra and get the newest one in order to have it for a while. If someone has an older one to give to you or to sell to you for "garage sale price", it could be a decent option, but keep in ming what JT is saying: it will function for many years, but it might only serve

Christian, my understanding is that it's the iOS that counts. If it's iOS 14 or more (it's probably upgraded to iOS 15), it should work.

Super helpful, guys, thank you so much. I guess that my best bet is to wait. I want to be a good steward. Sometimes, that means waiting. Sometimes, it also means spending more for a better product.

I need to upgrade my iPad. My conclusion is that the new iPad 10.2 is what I need: reasonable price, good quality. I can't seem to find one for sale anywhere in Canada (I'm barely exagerating). I'm wondering if the new Fire HD tablet would be a good option as well. (For less than half the price of the iPad...!) Any thoughts on that? (I don't take for

The FL rep that talked to me told me that it was strange but that he doesn't understand why it doesn't work. He suggested that I access my account through the web, which will probably work... as long as I have access to wifi.

PS: Somehow, the application doesn't recognize my email address and/or my password. And if I click on "Forgot your password?" (which I didn't), I get an error message: "Sign in failed - Invalid username or password". Hmmm.

Woah, JT! Yes, I just turned off and on my iPad and, yes, it offers me to load on the latest functionning version of Logos! Well... Thanks! I still need a new device, but I can still use the old one a little bit yet!
-
Yep. I deleted the app last night and, two minutes later, I couldn't download it anymore!
-
Yes Bernhard, that is what I'm saying.

I made the mistake of removing the Logos mobile app from my old iPad in case the L9 app was a totally different app. Nope. I should have checked before... No, owning the app in my "purchased app" doesn't make it so that I'm offered an older version. What I understand is that I should buy a device that's as up-to-date as possible in order to have it
-
JT, you are correct. My question is exactly to help me think things through about what the best buy would be. The answer seems to be iOs 14: https://wiki.logos.com/iOS_Release_Notes I need to drop my old iPad that won't update further than iOs 12. I wish it was still possible to download an old version of the app...
-
I'm thinking iPad so which iOs?
-
Perfect, Phil! That discussion is exactly what was going on in my head! I did fill up the survey, thanks!

Still trying to figure out if I like the sermon editor... One of the advantages of the sermon editor is that I don't have to copy and paste a biblical text into my document, I can just type the reference and the text appears in my text. Not so when I have a sub-section. Why? That doesn't make sense. To illustrate what I mean... This works: Remember

If any Logos developers are reading, this is a link that will put you in touch with Antidote, a tool that could be integrated within Logos to be the corrector both in Englsih and French (bonus for me!) https://www.antidote.info/en/antidote-11/documentation/developer-tools Richard, there seem to be some kind of corrector in my French version of Logos
-
I think something like that would be super important if we're to do all our writing straight in Logos. I second the motion!
