Thanks Linda. My message on September 9 explains how to remove books you do not use if you own a Mac.

This is a new version of the file, with the corrections mentioned two messages ago and a few other similar ones. A total of about a dozen corrections. 43476.Index Bible Studies.docx 7167.MyIndex.zip

Thanks for pointing out these errors. I'll make the corrections, and post a new version in the next couple of days (after I have added October's free books).

Here is an update to my Index of Bible Studies , with the addition of the contents of a couple of Logos 8 packages and a few other books I have added to my library. I will repeat here the instructions to use it. Mac users especially should pay attention, there is important news for you towards the end. ----- This file contains links to sermons, meditations

  • Re: Making a PBB using my Logos 8 Library.

Try this: Download this file, unzip it, and save the file it contains (a program, PersonalIndex.exe ) in any directory on your computer. Then in Logos open the Library, then from the menu in the top right corner choose Print/Export, then in the Print/Export window choose XML under Export in the bottom right corner. This creates a file called Library
I would love it if someone was to get the index to only show purchased resources for all of us Mac users . Not sure what this would take, and I'm sure it'd be a lot of work.
FYI - This is an .exe file and not a .docx file. Perhaps you uploaded the wrong file again?
The .docx file did not have an error, so I did not post it again. That is for people who want to have the complete list. For people who want a list of only the books that they have in their library, they need to use the .exe
Appreciate this so much, Richard! For the first time I am getting an error message. "Error finding your books. Probably Logos was closed. Please restart the program and do not close Logos."
Sorry, my mistake. I uploaded an older version of the program, that had this bug. This version should work. 0842.MyIndex.zip

Here is another update to this file to create a PBB, with quite a number of new books added. There are instructions to use it in my message on December 23. 6835.Index Bible Studies.docx 3036.MyIndex.zip --- Some more statistics: The chapter with most links is Romans 8 with 620 links, followed by Matthew 5 (596), Matthew 6 (454), John 1 (435), and Hebrews
Incidentally, I saw that I don't own the book with the most number of references in the index (one homily for a verse from every chapter of the bible), which reads like a great resource and goes for only $18:
Our Daily Homily is an important book in the Index, as it means that there is at least one link for every chapter

Here is another update to the Index. It contains another 1,500 links, mainly to the journals that are in Portfolio (thanks to a Connect trial), and free or very cheap books in the past six months. I have updated my Index of Bible Studies. This contains links to sermons, meditations, outlines, journal articles, and more that do not appear in the Passage Guide. (Exception: some sermons now appear in the Passage Guide, but did not when I started, and I thought I would not remove them.) It is useful especially when preparing Bible studies or sermons

The problem is that I create the index manually - when I have a new book, I go through it to look for suitable references, and copy the bookmarks to my Word file. If I don't have the book in Logos, I can't create the bookmark that is necessary. And I don't have many Spanish books in my library. The only possibility would be if someone else who owns

  • Re: NT Greek "Sentence Exposition" - Resource to get the valid range of meanings?

A resource that goes close to what you want is the Exegetical Summaries series, although it is not complete. It might not give all the possible meanings of a sentence, but it gives the meanings that a wide range of commentaries have proposed.

I have added another 2300 references to my Index of Bible Studies, from the books I have obtained in the last couple of years. The Index Bible Studies.docx file can be added to Logos as a personal book, or you can use the program in the MyIndex.zip file (unzip all the contents, both files are needed for the program to run) to create a personal copy
