Here is an update to my Index of Bible Studies, with the addition of the contents of another 46 books containing 3,386 new links, from some legacy Logos packages and a few other books I have added to my library. There are now a total of 2180 Logos resources included and 71,006 links. I will repeat here the instructions to use it. With this update, John
I am on a windows machine.
1. Was Logos installed to the default directory, rather than, for example, to a secondary disk? 2. I think sometimes the program gives that message, even if the program does work. Is there a file called My Index Bible Studies.rtf in your Documents folder? In that case you

Thanks for this work. The format of the entries is good, but a few comments on the books. 1. You need to check my file for which ones I have already done. For example, "Hard Sayings of the Bible", "Marriage: God's Design for Intimacy" and "Connect the Testaments" are already included (because I own them) so you don't need to do them again. 2. I do not
Thanks again! I'll post here when I have stuff in the "Wordsearch Index file.docx".
It would probably be a good idea to post a "draft" after you have done a couple of books. That way I can check it, that it will be possible insert your work into my file. Thanks in advance,
Your search file to build the rtf file does not do or work with files from WordSearch. And some people like me... which have about 80% (estimated) of my files from WordSearch... then when I do run the search engine my final .docx file is very small in comparison.
It does not work with resources that I have not indexed, ie

The previous comments are correct: I need to have a copy of a book before I can add it to the index. I did own a few Word Search books, but not many. A couple of exceptions: - some of the sermon collections were done by others, that I then included in my file (even though they are now included in the Passage Guide in the "Sermons" section, but that
Oh, I thought it was going by the XML file I created? So it goes by books inside the program that belong to you rather than what I upload in the file? For example, I had 365 Days with Spurgeon Volume 1 which worked fine, but now I bought volumes 2-6 and they don't work.
What happens with the personalised lists is that my program

I'm not sure, but it might be that I don't own the new books you just bought, which means that I can not index them and that they are not in the Index of Bible Studies, neither my complete one nor the personalised subset.

This file should do the job. The instructions for using it are the same as those previously in this thread for creating a personal index of Bible studies. The Personal Book that is created will contain all the books you own of which Spurgeon is listed as an author, that is the books in the Library of Logos that are listed when you use the filter author

  • Re: LOGOS API from .NET Code

The L4 COM API still works, as described at https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_COM_API and in the pages mentioned in that one. Basically, you need to include Logos Bible Software 4 Type Library . If that type library is listed amongst your COM objects but you can't manage to include it in your project, you might be having the problem that I had, and that

Bruce: 6663 is not the most recent. Try rather 48476.Index Bible Studies.docx that is in my message of January 2021. Larry: There are different versions of the Index of Bible Studies, as I have added more books to it. For both of you, I'm not sure why it is not building. I will do some tests and see if I can work out the problem.

There are technical details, that both Verbum and Logos should export the same COM object. I'm not sure if that is true, but nobody has mentioned a problem

I am almost ready to release a new version of the Index of Bible Studies, with lots of new resources added. However I have a problem with the creation of the personalised index with only the books that the user owns. To create it, there is a program that uses the COM object of the Logos program. However, on my computer that COM object no longer exists

You might also want to look at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/65323.aspx?PageIndex=10 (the post from March 2020 has the most recent version), which contains an index of Spurgeon's sermons, and a lot more. The instructions are in a message of September 2019.

The general rule is that I do not list in my Index the books that appear in the Passage Guide. (There are some exceptions, especially when I added books that weren't in the Guide, and then Logos added them to the Guide, eg many sermons.) This means that I don't put commentaries in my Index, it is easier to find them with the Passage Guide, including
