I also posted this on the Catholic User thread, because i thought this one was deleted. George Somsel... You have wanted to know what I mean by "born again" so here goes... Scripture says that we are to be born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Therefore, to be born again, means that individuals must be

Scripture says that we are to be born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Therefore, to be born again, means that individuals must be made alive spiritually by an external source. Since we did not give ourselves natural birth

All Christians should be anti-catholic. Are you afraid of offending the "queen of the forum"?

  • Purgatory a sin inthe bible?

This is not a direct Logos question, but I don't know of a better group of people to answer my request. I'm 53 and for most of my life I was taught that purgatory was a real place. So my wife and I went to looking for the scripture that addresses this, and we cannot find anything even close that says it's real. We've tried some other words related to
I think the reason why my thread is not deleted is due to the fact that I am talking about Logos software, not theology.
A person just posed a thread yesterday about gluttony being a sin. That is theology and it was not deleted. I'm going to try another thread and we will see what happens.
is my understanding
Logos has a cross as a logo and therefore holds themselves out as a "christian" organization. As a Christian organization, their main focus (before profit) should be to uphold the truth of the Gospel, and the Person of Jesus Christ. If they are not such, why should they care if we debate theology

Logos Moderator: I think this thread has turned into a theological topic. I'm sure many obese people here would be offended to call gluttony a sin. Please remove this thread.
However, you are violating the forum guidelines.
Why aren't you violating the forums by creating a separatist thread only for catholics (i.e. "Catholic Users"?) The problem here is discrimination...papists are allowed to say whatever they want and start whatever threads they want and seperate themselves as catholics
I second this. However, perhaps Logos should hire or enlist forum moderators to manage the forums and to enforce the guidelines.
I think logos already has pro-papist, anti-gospel moderators. Note that The "Reformed Users" thread was already deleted, but not this catholic thread. The other option is that Logos thinks
Is there scripture stating that gluttony is a sin?
Maybe these verses will help... Although these verses do not state gluttony as a sin explicitly, I believe they do imply it. A lust for anything but the true God is sin. Hey, who removed those truthful quotes from this thread about the Papacy as anti-christ? I find it amazing that as Christ said, the light of truth is hated. We see it specifically played out on this "christian" forum... John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their
