  • Re: Bequeathing Library?

Thanks for the continued prayers, Mark. Nobody is sure how much longer I'll be around, but I think it could be a few years yet. I have some awful days in the meanwhile, and also some decent ones. I have found my Lord to be faithful and true.

Thanks. I kind of started that approach before I saw any replies here. We’ll see how it works.

  • Download All

I have a new iPad Pro with enough SSD memory to hold my library. Looking the library, I told Logos to download all the resources. After several days it thought it was done. But I’m continually finding books that have not been downloaded. They must be downloaded one-by-one. Download All thinks there aren’t any more to download. Is there a

Thank you, brother. That means a lot. God is at work and I’m still alive and kicking for now.

[quote user="Rokas"] For God's sake, for your congregation's sake, for my sake, please stop it. It's simply painful. Pastors behaving like not pastor-like. Stop writing your essays here. Nobody is going to read them. Repent and go to your knees and thank God that He gave you tools (which cost $20000) to study His word. Or if you're so disappointed,

[quote user="Justin Gatlin"] I, for the $99 I paid for Now this year, got the features early, got the free books, got the discounts and am now getting a $200 voucher to buy the feature set I chose not to before - so I have lost nothing by not buying outright in the first place.I will use it on the L8 feature set, since my Now is good through January

What looks legitimate to some (apparently) looks like whining to others.

I'm kind of disappointed by the whining I see here. Faithlife is a business and they need to do what they need to do to stay afloat. It seems like they usually do it with an eye to ministry, but they still have to make a go of it. I think many pastors (I'm not one) and such want to feel entitled to stuff. When it doesn't work out, whining is the next

I'm not being punished. I've been a customer since 1994 or so and have about 15000 resources. I don't have to pay anything per month to use those and I'm happy as a clam. I am neither a loser or a looser, whatever that is.

  • Bequeathing Library?

I have a fairly large Logos library of almost 15,000 resources. I have a terminal disease, so one of these days before long I won’t be able to read them (or care). If those were book books I could easily pass them on to some deserving soul. I’m wondering about the possibility of passing ownership of my library to another user. Can it be

  • Re: macOS 11 (High Sierra) compatibility

I've been running the beta for a month or so. Initially, there were some issues, but not insurmountable. The last update before the GM fixed everything I was seeing except for the very minor issue of tabs opening as if the pointer were hovering over them. You know, the tab kind of glows. Hovering over them sets them back to normal. I'm not a preacher

I'd say maybe you need to downgrade to Bibleworks or some inferior piece of work.

  • Would like to access resources on SSD

I run Logos 7 on a Mac Pro from mid 2010. A year ago I added an SSD to the machine, but my user library is still on a hard drive to save space on the SSD. I would love to force Logos to use the SSD for resources while keeping the rest of my user library on a hard drive. I tried making an alias for the SSD folder on my hard drive, but when I boot Logos

  • Re: Marking a book "to read" ??

I go outside Logos for this function. I use a reference management program called Sente to keep track of my reading: books I want to read, books I am reading, books I have read, etc. I can also keep my notes in Sente by exporting notes and clippings from Logos. I also keep track of books in other formats all together in Sente, utilizing a tag scheme

I don't see it as a bug. The app works fine. But there is certainly an opportunity for improvement there, and I'd bet they are already working on it.

Logos is high-performance software. I find that, on my new MacBook Pro, sometimes it uses HP and sometimes the integrated GP. Sometime it helps to close other apps down. Sometimes it helps to shut down Logos and open it again. Mostly I'm just resigned to knowing my battery won't last as long when running Logos. I dim and bear it, if you will. It's worth

Sometimes people don't understand how difficult a truly good search is to accomplish. I think Logos is above average by far. It takes a little effort to think through a search strategy sometimes, but the effort almost always pays off.

I'm running Logos 7 with 14500 resources on a 2010 Mac Pro and a brand new MacBook Pro. Neither of those computers has the slightest problem running. I leave the app running all the time on both machines.

And why is that a problem? I thought you didn't want it published. If it isn't public it isn't published.
