As soon as someone gets through and talks to a rep.; let the rest of us know. Might save time today waiting on an open line.

  • Re: Meyer NT Commentary worth getting?

I placed a winning bid on this set while it was in Community Pricing. It is old, but I have found Meyer's comments useful. While on this topic, you might check out the Cambridge Greek Testament set on Community Pricing. I realize older sets are just that OLD. But they do contain, to me, valuable insights on the text.

  • Re: Logos "private sale" - 26 December 2011

I have sent an email requesting a call on Monday. However, I noted that if this does not apply to individual volumes (book) then do not bother to call as I have more than enough sets of commentaries.

  • Re: Black Friday Sale

I personally liked last years "black Friday" sale. Send an email with 3 titles and someone would respond with a special price for each of the three. You could accept or decline. I have most of the titles that are offered this year. So I plan to pass.

  • Re: Installing pre-pub resources

I had a similar situation. I recently purchased a Libronix 3 product on CD. It did have an activation key for version 3. However, I could not get version 3 to recognize the key. I called customer service; gave them the access code and they activated the product from their end. I then opened version 4; did a license sync. and the books appeared.

  • Community Pricing H.A.W. Meyer Commentarty

http://www.logos.com/product/9847/critical-and-exegetical-commentary-on-the-new-testament-21-vols This is worth bidding on. It is an old set. Meyer died in 1872. But he has some very practical insights into the text.

  • Christianity Magazine on Pre-Pub

http://www.logos.com/product/9684/christianity-magazine FYI --- Christianity Magazine contains material written by members of the Church of Christ (non-institutional). Some on the forum have requested material from the Stone-Campbell perspective. This would be an excellent addition to one’s collection.

  • Re: ACCS vs NPNF (Philip Schaff)

ACC contains quotes (at the editiors choice) regarding the verses. There maybe some quotes from material you do not possess. I do not have NPNF but have read sections. NPNF are probably the sources that were selected to be used in ACC. Hope this helps.

Cyclopaedia of Biblical, Theological, and Ecclesiastical Literature (12 vols.) If many of you have not checked this resource you might be suprised at its historical value. For example the article on the "Council of Trent" contains a day by day account of the events discussed and decided upon. Yes, it is old; but, as a historian, the wealth of data is

The group of scholars that were responsible for the set were part of the Westcott-Lightfoot-Hort generation. They were also part of the scholarship behind the ERV (later American Standard Version of 1901 in America). They also were part of the production of the Cambridge Greek Testament.
