Thanks so much everyone for all of your help on this. I have learned so much about syntactical searches today! But I have so much more to learn!

Thanks so much John. Using Phil 2:6 as an example, I ran the search on a relative pronoun followed by a participle instead of looking for clauses. My search did not return any results. Can you tell me what I did wrong?

John, Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. You've been very helpful in showing me some of the syntax searches that can be run. Thanks also for the quote from Deppe. I was trying to reproduce your latest search, with a relative clause followed by word with mood=participle and part of speech=verb. I was wondering how you created the word search

Thanks so much for your quick response! I'm working on a dissertation on identifying pre-formed confessions and hymns in the NT. R. Martin says that "the clearest sign that a hymn-like passage is being quoted is that a relative clause marks its opening, and is continued by the use of participles in preference to main verbs." He lists Phil. 2:6ff.; Col

  • Syntax or Morph search

I am trying to do a search for instances where a relative clause is followed by the use of participles (such as in Philippians 2:6 and Colossians 1:15ff). Would I use a syntax search for this or a morph search?

OK, I have run the batch program to no avail, and I have checked the registry for the values listed. I cannot find the first registry value Does “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{319A0316-DF84-4B3C-8117-349B7E98E613}” exist? I cannot find this value in this directory If not, run C:\Path\To\Logos5\Logos.exe /register from a Command Prompt (note that your installation

I copied and pasted the contents to notepad, then removed the .txt extension and saved it. I then found where I saved it and right-clicked on it and chose "open" (I also tried "run as administrator"). The cmd box opened and said "registering Logos". Logos then opened. I then opened Microsoft Word 10, typed in a full biblical reference, and right clicked

  • Microsoft Word Copy Verses

Upon installation of Logos 6, I no longer have the capability in Word of right clicking a reference and copying verses from Logos. This was working fine in Logos 5. Is there a setting in Word that needs to be changed for Logos 6?

I waited 30 minutes on the phone to talk to a sales rep only for him to tell me that he could not look anything up because their systems were down. It would have been great to know that before waiting on hold. *PATIENCE*

Thanks guys. I thought I had restarted Logos, but I did a complete reboot and now the interlinear is there. Thanks again for you help and Merry Christmas!!

  • Apocrypha Reverse Interlinear

I just received the download of the NRSV Apocrypha Reverse Interlinear, but when I open the NRSV and go to an Apocryphal book, the info does not show up. I have the "Show in-line" checked on the Display pull-down. There is a blank space between the lines, but no in-text or below. Right clicking the word also does not give any of the Greek options. Is

A good collection of responses on varying topics addressed in The God Delusion is "God is Great, God is Good" edited by William Lane Craig and Chad Meister. The review of The God Delusion by Alvin Plantinga is particularly good. You might also find "The Dawkins Delusion" by Alister McGrath and "God's Undertaker: Has Science Buried God" by John Lennox

Thanks Richard. I did find the reference in the tiny lettering, but these cross-references are pretty hard to find if they can't be found in the search dialog. I have tried the same search you did, but to no avail.

  • Reference Search

The Apostolic Fathers Greek-English Interlinear (by Rick Brennan) recently downloaded. On the promo it says, If you reference search the Apostolic Fathers Greek-English Interlinear for 1 Ti 4.16 , you’ll find the above two references (and two more that actually talk about condemnation instead of salvation). I have tried to do this to no avail. I tried

I have subscribed to the "General" RSS feed using an RSS reader for a very long time. Usually it lists posts regarding issues and updates. I was surprised to see book reports and suggestions begin to be listed. There have been times when people have tried to start theological debates here, and I could not understand why the moderator was not stepping

I'm sorry, but what is the purpose of this post in the Logos Forum? It has nothing to do with the Logos program or resources. I understand the author would like more Anabaptist resources, but there are places for book reports and pushing an ideology and the Logos Forum is not it.
