• Re: Is Logos 4 Too Much for Me?

Just to reassure you, Ralph: I find the single biggest savings in time with Logos (over my print library) is simply being able to "GET" to my commentaries and theological books. You mention going through your indexes to find whether a passage is talked about... how about the time it takes to grab that book(s) and flip it open and find the right section

  • Re: Library Sort Field for Date Added

I think this request: TO have a RESOURCE ADDED FIELD is a wonderful idea. Let me add this as a requested improvement. I know some have said that the "Last Updated" field will accomplish this goal, but it certainly does not. Have a doubt... check it out today. Very fortunately for us, Logos updates our resources to be better for searching and for making

  • Re: Logos resources for Jonah

Ruth is a fantastic little book... and there is much hidden within the literary art of the author. Obviously, NICOT is good at detailing many points, but find something like Nielsen (Old Testament Library) to get to a good overview of the literary focus.

  • Android SDcard vs. SDcard-ext: Can I change where Books/Data is stored?

In the Logos App for Android, is there a way to tell the program WHERE to look for resources/DATA??? Apparently a few of the newer phones have something, well, new. They have THREE (3) places for Data. Like almost all Android phones, we have Phone Memory (RAM?) and the External SD Card. However, some newer phones are coming with three storage places

  • Re: Books i do not use

Totally agree with this suggestion. You are right, the feature should be called "archived" for what "hide" does now. And a new feature should be added to allow a demoted status... and perhaps a non-listed status as well. Every once in a while, a rant is a good thing. :) +1 JJ

  • Re: Best Android Tablet?

To continue... Of course, the other Android tablets are coming down in price too. Notably the Galaxy Tab is at 299.00, I believe. The Galaxy Tab's (both 7 inch and 10 inch) have consistently received good reviews. They also have things like SD card expansion, camera, and such. The iPad needs no overview. It currently comes only in its 9.7 (( believe

  • Re: Best Android Tablet?

There are a lot of Android tablets out there. I think in a year there will be just a few left actually selling. Most of the tablets that get dropped will continue to work, however. There is no doubt about it, iPad2 is king of the hill and will remain popular. However, their rumored lower price will be necessary to stay competitive with the likes of
Let me add to my sad story. Today ... After a phone call to tech support ,who could not help me, I did a second hard reset.. I was then able to install 9.2 and had the fun of re installing all my other Apps. 9.2 seems to be running very well.
Robert and others. Before doing a hard reset on your Kindle Fire, you

I see that the Logos App is available in Amazon's AppStore. And it does download. However, I would love to know if someone has been able to download and run it that way. I tried and it froze after downloading and trying to install and update my earlier (sideloaded) Logos for Android app. I don't know if it was a problem because of my earlier sideloaded

Here is the new INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS for Logos for Android on the Fire: Use your Kindle Fire and go to the APPS section, search the AppStore for Logos. Click on Blue Icon! Install! How sweet is that!?! Yes, the Logos App is available and official now. I had previously installed it via sideloading so, I am interested in seeing if it can simply UPDATE

  • Re: Recommended Commentaries: Ruth

Seems there are many good commentaries on Ruth, some primarily theological and some more exegetical. In no particular order, I have found these to be worth the study: Nielson, Kirsten. Ruth, the Old Testament Library Patricia Tull. Esther and Ruth (IBS) Marjo Korpel. The Structure of the Book of Ruth (nice for literary structure). Danna Fewell and David
Is it quick and reponsive?
Tim, Yes, I find the Fire quick and responsive. If you are referring to the Logos for Android App, specifically, I would say yes again... with qualifications. See, I don't really use the Logos for Android (or Logos for iPad, for that matter) applications for doing searches, advanced word

Simply go to my Fire Settings menu (top of screen) and

Yes, I did. I followed the process outlined here. I got the Easy Installer program and downloaded the .apk file from the Forum site as described. I have installed so many things today, I don't know that I could do it again without looking at the instructions...but yes, everything installed well. Once complete, I simply launched the Logos app and started

An update about Logos beta release for Android and the Kindle Fire. Yes, Logos works great on the Fire, but no, the Android App cant do much of what the desktop does. I am still quite happy with it. My main (only?) Reason to have Logos on my Fire (any portable phone or tablet device is to read resources when I am out. Now, perhaps in the future, that
