  • Re: The Bible Speaks Today Series: Old Testament

Nice to have the OT series of the Bible Speaks Today. I always just assumed I had it in NT and OT format in Logos, till I tried to access The Message of Ruth, and realized I only have it in print. I would like the whole OT Series as well.

  • Re: Kindle Fire: $199 hummmmm

Imagine having your Kindle ebooks (plus any other ebooks and PDF's), plus all your Logos Library all on one great little tablet which is portable, light, and powerful. Android's newly announced Kindle Fire is sure to set the tablet world on "fire." It is going to be a great, great thing for many a seminary student who can't justify $500 for the Apple

  • Re: Michael Horton;s Systematic Theology (The Christian Faith)

Horton has done an exceptional job of declaring our Christian Faith in his latest book. Yes, it needs to be in Logos. I see that you can get it even in Olive Bible Tree program...so Logos should have it as well... and his book, "Putting Amazing Back into Grace" is dynamite too. I think his very Biblical and historical approach might be dryer than works

  • Re: How to DISPLAY AUTHOR's Name, rather than "Commentary on the Book of Luke" or "St Paul's Epistle to Ephesians"

Thank you, Allen and Kevin, I have played with the SHORT TITLE feature, but only on a few titles... therefore, I didn't notice that it also effected the tabs. Of course the short title would only show when the several windows are open, if I understand correctly. Still, this is normally when I want to see this information. I tried it with my Ephesians

  • How to DISPLAY AUTHOR's Name, rather than "Commentary on the Book of Luke" or "St Paul's Epistle to Ephesians"

While in Seminary, we usually referred to commentaries and other works by the Author's name. So, I might refer to Hoehner on Ephesians, or Best on Ephesians, or Lincoln or Hughes on Ephesians, etc. While it is easy to click and see the author's name of a book, it is a constant frustration when I have multiple commentaries open. I want to DISPLAY the

  • Re: A Clue?

The SeminaryLibrary would be awesome, but the number of 3,000+ makes me think of HD Greek Manuscripts . Both are pretty cool. The PBB database has already been announced as something that will be coming. But, if it is released for free, that would be so incredible that I would need to consider coveting a virtue. Looking forward to knowing more! :) JJ

  • Re: Do NOT own the software

Here is a great question of value. WHile it is true that the program itself is free, and while it is true that there are a few resources available for free (which is great!), for Logos to be beneficial for most, some collection of books/resources must be made. Now, for some perhaps a Bible Dictionary, a one volume commentary and a number (20 -50) of

  • Re: Paul Through Mediterranean Eyes: Cultural Studies in 1 Corinthians by Kenneth E.Bailey

Bailey's works on the Gospels (especially the Parables) is fantastic. His Poets & Peasants volume on Luke has been a must have for nearly 25 years. It is hard to over-recommend anything by Kenneth Bailey...and few will agree with all of what he proposes, but all will gain much from the exposure. Buy it in print now and sell it when Logos gets time to

Rev. Dustin T Parker Replied : Today 8:55 AM Android now controls over half the smartphone market, Apple a little less than 30%. Android is growing quickly in the tablet market as well, and with 3.0 coming out - has a robust OS. Jeremy: That is the problem. The two accounts (separate accounts) get confused on the one PC. Matthew: Yes, having an additional PC would help, but that wasn't what my post was asking. Thanks. Dave: Thanks for your information. We will try using the Ctrl Key log in method next time this happens and see if that resolves it. I am sorry, I am not sure

Perhaps this question/comment is in the wrong area... but I was looking for advice. My wife has her own copy of Logos, albeit, a reduced install that has just the things she wants. I have a rather complete install based on my needs. We have two separate email accounts and passwords, two seperate serial codes when we registered (obviously). We don't

[quote user="Wilson Hines"] Hey JJ, Thanks. I have scheduled today with my Logos sales rep to do my purchase for the year.... I am going to pick up the EEC on pre-pub. So that controversy aside, I have a couple other questions. I am buying the Hermeneia and Continental today, as I think I will rarely see a value as such in an academic piece. Also, let
