I understand that ART isn't quite ready for primetime, but it is being included in stock KitKat and nothing prevents a user from switching over to it (no root necessary, etc.). I know that a small handful of apps had issues running under ART right at the beginning, but most of the popular ones have added compatibility since that time. I would encourage

In my experience, the current behavior gets very cumbersome when using a synced Bible and study Bible in split-screen view. It's actually very difficult to describe, because the behavior is so inconsistent. I'm going to try, anyway. Going to the beginning of an epistle by selecting a book and hitting the "Go" button opens my study Bible to the front

I recently purchased a Nexus 10 32GB. The other ones I considered (briefly) were the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity and the Note 10.1. What tipped the scales for me for the Nexus 10: Amazing, better-than-retina display (300 vs 264 ppi) A Nexus device - will have the latest version of Android for the next 2-3 years 2 GB RAM No carrier or manufacturer

Jim - you should have a look at this blog post that explains everything very well. I would've preferred this to be published prior to Logos 5 being released and that it would be posted on the homepage, but... http://blog.logos.com/2012/11/5-ways-to-move-to-logos-5/

Packages include both resources and data sets. But the "lower" packages don't include all of the data sets. Crossgrade is aimed more toward adding ALL the new datasets with (very) minimal resources. Browse the Logos 5 pages (and forums) to see what functionality the various data sets add. If you want to add resources, definitely upgrade from L4 to a

I've been a Logos user since the 3.5 floppy days (1.6?) so I did have more resources than simply the base Scholars package. That probably accounts for the $100 difference between my upgrade and yours.

For me, L4 Scholars to L5 Bronze was $220. Added Crossgrade for $18 and some change. Pleasantly surprised!

If you want a good and fair "take" on the Note, I suggest going over to phonedog.com. Aaron Baker gave it a 30-day test drive. He still ranks the iPhone 4S above the Note, but he seemed to be really swayed as he used the Note as his primary device over the month. The videos section (second link) has a lot of good stuff, including his updates every few

Didn't have a chance to grab some screenshots / photos, but I just wanted to chime in and say I love my Note. Bought it the day after it was released on AT&T back in February. I'd considered a Kindle Fire, but wanted a full Google experience. FYI - you can't - at least out of the box - install Google apps (e.g. Gmail) on the Kindle, since it doesn't

It is my humble, yet firm, opinion that the resource folder should be user-definable - either on a local or removable card. I also feel that resources should be able to be backed up by simply copying them to another folder on the handheld (or a drive on a PC). You should be able to install a fresh copy of Logos, copy the backed-up resource files to

Here's my two cents based on personal needs / wants / experience. Take it with as many grains of salt as you'd like. Some background: I cut my teeth on the Palm Pilot Family: Palm Personal -> III -> IIIe -> Sony Clie -> TX - loved them as a PIM organizer. I PREFER to carry a combined device if at all possible. My eyesight is fine - I usually shrink

Michael, Based on a few seconds of research, it doesn't look the the Velocity line of tablets is supported by Android Market. It does, however, work with Amazon, so you should be able to find the Logos app there. Perhaps this link can give you some guidance: https://support.google.com/androidmarket/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1141080

Larger memory? My year and a half old AT&T Samsung Captivate has the same amount of memory (512 MB) and twice the storage (16 GB internal + up to 32 GB external). I'm much more interested in the screen real-estate. I'm kind of assuming that the Fire treats the 8 GB storage as a kind of internal SD card - like most smartphones do.

A HUGE suggestion... In my opinion, it's an absolute MUST that some sort of "known issues" list be included on the main Android for Logos front page. That would eliminate forum posts about no NIV or why the Hebrew isn't displaying correctly. These are all in the list that early testers had access to (not to mention this very thread), but it's not easy
