• Re: More books, faster, better pricing
Thanks for the feedback, Rob. I completely agree we need to solve this. I’ve outlined these (among other) priorities for 2019: Significantly grow our digital book catalog. Make new books available at the same time as their print and Kindle release. Make them discoverable from a single store. Make them available

  • Suggestion: include personalized reading speed for book chapters

One of the most difficult parts of reading digital books for me is not seeing how much is left in a chapter. It is much easier with print books because I can physically see how much of a chapter I have left to read. I can say to myself, “I have x number of pages left and with this chapter so it will take about x number of minutes to finish.”

With Ultimate, that could put him in the top five.
Whatever happened to that bragging list? (I'm not on it.) Granted that Ultimate is a lot of money for most people, FL has really boosted up their packages this time around, so if one can afford it, it is probably one of the best buys ever offered

Not to derail this post, but is Fragments of Truth downloaded or do you just stream it via the application? I assume it's a download, but just checking.

If you have enrolled in classes I think that works. You can always try with your acceptance letter. If that doesn't work, then just wait until you register

  • Re: Too Many resources released the week before Christmas!
Anthony, I thought I had found a "workaround" with the payment plans by using the Logos book cache program ( https://www.logos.com/book-cache ). I was using it as a sort of "pre-payment plan" since you can use the amount you cache for pre-pubs. However, Logos 8 came and there were some great Black Friday deals that just obliterated

Not to mention the Teach the Text upgrade https://www.logos.com/product/155708/teach-the-text-collection-upgrade and the Belief Commentary upgrade https://www.logos.com/product/149563/belief-a-theological-commentary-on-the-bible-upgrade I had 5 pre-pubs coming out within a week of each other and these two were too high. I wish there was a better system
And this is exactly the point, Logos 8 was advertised to make everyday tasks simpler and it does in many ways, HOWEVER compare all this posted here to find the new resources to just clicking the dropdown on the Home page in Logos 7. What was once trivial is now tedious.
True, you could see your new items quicker but

You can't edit the existing workflows, but you can create your own from scratch. At the bottom right of the guides screen, you can click "new" and you'll be able to select a workflow or guide and go from there.

  • Re: Upgrading to Logos 8
I got a better price for including the feature set and I have a subscription I just took the cheaper price. I did notice that on smaller collections there was actually a charge for the feature set. As I understand it the advantage that I have gained by purchasing the feature set is that if I choose to stop subscribing my software

  • Re: How can I go back to Logos 7?

I remember when everyone hated the new iOS design back in 2012-13ish. It looked so different (aka, cheap, cartoon-y, etc) compared to what we were used to for 4-5 years. The new L8 design reminded me of that

  • Re: Mobile Ed courses for more language study

Personally, German wouldn't be that beneficial. Rosetta Stone and a plethora of other language software is readily available and would be a hard sell if it's just basic German. Perhaps, an advanced course in German with an emphasis on German texts and how certain theologians used or wrote in German would be better. Latin, on the other hand, is a must

You may be interested to know that Ancient Near Eastern Thought and the Old Testament has a second edition that was published in May 2018. The only one in Logos is the first edition. No pre-pub yet. I don't have the second edition so I can't speak to its changes, just know that it is out there. In terms of overlap, there is some in the Lost World of

  • Getting the Full Oxford English Dictionary on Logos?

Is there any chance that we could get the full Oxford English Dictionary available on Logos? If that wasn't possible (as that is/would be an immensely tall order), what about the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary? The Concise Oxford Dictionary isn't bad but is missing a lot of etymologies and examples throughout history. I've recently been granted access
In addition to what M.J. said, I would guess that the Logos 7 sale which just ended and the bundle sales which just started are ramping up for a release of Logos 8, but I would not think that they would release Logos 8 immediately after such a sale, as it might irritate some customers. I guess it is possible though that
