  • Re: Why did Joseph and Mary stay in Bethlehem for 2+ years after Jesus was born?

I'm with Rich on this. It's as likely that the 2 year old reference for Herod has to do with his question as to when the star appeared (Matthew 2:7). And assuming "the family" was staying with people they knew and in their home, the visit of the magi at the house where they were could easily have been very close to the shepherd's visit - a matter of

  • Re: UBS5 out this month!

Yes, but, like Bruce, I am confident that Logos is already tooling up for it.

  • Re: Copy citation feature in wrong format

As I said I do not use MLA, but there are generally several differences between a footnote and a bibliography - periods for parentheses, order, punctuation for publisher information. Check what you are actually asking for in each instance. I do know that your first form looks suspiciously like a bibliography entry, and the second like a footnote.

I don't use MLA, but could the first entry be bibliographic and the second a footnote?

  • Minimal Crossgrade

I know that the intro deal for the main packages goes away soon. Is that true for the minimal crossgrade as well.

  • Re: iPad App for Sermon Notes

Though I use Logos extensively for research, I use Olive Tree for preaching, I create in Word, insert into O-T, do some simple indenting, and transfer it to my iPad. When it's there, not only do I have my outline, but all of my scripture references are hyperlinked (of course, I need the translation I preach from as part of my O-T collection).

  • Two Missing Volumes from Exegetical Summaries

I was looking for anything on the status of the two missing NT volumes of the Exegetical Summaries, Romans 9-16 being one of them. Anyway, I read through this thread. http://community.logos.com/forums/p/37403/280451.aspx#280451 I found nothing there, nor have I heard of a possible date for completion of this series. I notice that many of the current

  • Re: Interlinear Translation Editor addin?

It seems that removing the vid might be closing the door after the horse is out. Obviously, interlinears are still being produced, which means the addin is available. Since it is available, and there is interest, it would seem appropriate for Logos to consider the desires of their customers, and maybe even make some money. I'm already considering how

  • Re: OT: The Digital Library

My total ministry library is about half/half. I am working to add significant resources to my Logos collection and then get rid of the tree copies (mostly to younger men who may not have the money to invest yet). That said, a great deal of my tree library is in resources that Logos does not have (and probably never will). So, I expect that at best my

In this configuration can scriptures in the notes be hyperlinked to the Bible in Logos? Right now I use a different Bible program for this one thing that allows for hyperlinking in the notes. However, the notes have no formatting.

I have used the Windows control in Speech Recognition from the Control Panel. It will set the speed for everything read. However, I don't think it will change the reading speed while the reading window is open. You need to disengage the reader completely, change the speed, and then re-engage. At least this is what I have found. PS: you may have to exit

  • Re: Ian Paisley on my Home Page

I believe that Mike Pettit's 7:34 a.m. reply is really the only significant one. This forum is not up for the criticism of the form of Christianity. If the resource is useful - fine. If not, then ignore it. Also, I have seen no direct or even indirect link between Norway and Dr. Paisley.
