Yep...it's a dead subject....
Yeah, thankfully we only used that type of subject in Biology classs...

There was a thread under the General Forums where one individual asked what other peoples study practices were in preparing their sermons with Logos 4. There was some good stuff coming out of that group. I like using MS OneNote for note taking at this time since you can not yet print from Logos 4. It is a very powerful note taking tool and easy to keep
By the way, I have a minor complaint.
By the way Dan, you look a little old to be a minor. Let me see your license and registration. Or is it that minors are always asking you to buy Liquor-ice for them?
By the way, I have a miner complaint.
Yeah, I hate it too when those guys undermine my (admittedly very limited) authority.

If they pull this thread, will the whole Forum unravel?
That's entirely likely.
I'm A Frayed Knot...

Jerry, I'm not sure about the length limit of a note, but your notes are searchable. Any hits for your subject under the 'Basic' search show up as items listed under 'My Content' The Greek and Hebrew...I don't know. I just got started myself. Best of luck!
I'm not sure if your aware or not since you seem to be a new Logos customer, but they do have a payment plan. They will spread your payments out up to 12 months. There is a $5 administrative fee for this service. This helps pay the salary of the person who tracks and puts up with all of us who were it not for the Blessings

David, I am a lay leader/elder in my church and I purchased the Leadership Edition just before Christmas and just now (20 min ago) purchased the upgrate to Scholars Library Edition. If money is not the issue, I would agree that this is the version for you. Make sure to view the free tutorial videos and even look for some of the user videos. I would

ON that subject...try this link...
Best part of the whole video, and maybe it applies to me too:
Rosie, Thanks for your well thought out and sensitive input. I appreciate it. Kaye, I'm sorry to hear about your mother. My wife has worked for both Senior Care Facilities and Hospice

I would like to thank everyone for their time and input. I appreciate the fact that you all could have just skipped by my post or simply put in 2 cents and let it be, but you all chose to dig in and do a little leg work to help me (and my church obviously) out. I know that through a multitude of advisors true wisdom is usually found...at least more
So what are you trying to accomplish ?
I will be doing verse by verse studies. I was looking more at what Bible translations do people prefer to STUDY with. Which dictionaries or commentaries are orthodox and which one's are just WAY out there. When should I pull out the Greek/Hebrew tools and what references are

I'm new to Logos and have not had (yet) the benefit of a Seminary education. I recently purchased the Leadership Edition of Logos 4 and want to use the best tools I currently have at my disposal for the study and teaching of the Word. Can anyone kindly suggest to me works to include and works to avoid in my studies to help me save time and mistakes

Roger, I am only a lay person, however I have been struggling with the same issue. How do I best utilize Logos to prevent being redundant in my work and still get everything I want into message. I love the idea of a 2nd monitor and I can definitely grasp how much time could be saved doing it that way. I have an old flat panel and I might just swing

U. S. House of Representatives
Apparently they are trying to shut down our thread by taxing our servers !
Since I don't imagine that you lend much credence to the chatter by some of the screwballs out there (They'll believe the Mayan calendar, but not the bible?), I assume this is humorous (at least I got a smile out of it), but seriously, that is a possibility. I echo the sentiments...10,000+ volumes!? Please sir...may I have some more? lol

Phelix, I'd like to someday get to Seminary, but I'm not 40 yet. (lol, just kidding =-)) But on the subject of balancing a life and trying to do it all...don't. I would recommend a Franklin Planner to help keep your life on task...I finally (after 7 years) went to a week on 2 pages because I found if I tried to put too much stuff in my life, other areas
