SnagIt works great.
-
Oh well, tried it. Thought it might do what I want. But, not yet. What I would like is to be able to run Logos app and a note-taking app side by side. That would be ideal. Perhaps one day...

Do you have a link for Side by Side?

Thanks, Dave for your response. I tried the Repair option and got an error... So, I have uninstalled IE9 and reinstalled IE8 and it works now. I might dive in a bit later when IE9 can play nicer with L3. I was able to get it to work on my 32 bit win 7 machine, but not my 64 bit one. There may be some other conflict. Right now, I am afraid to tinker

Well, I am not sure what is going on, but I tried the ie9 fix and I can't open or make sentence diagrams in L3, now. So, I restored Windows to before the ie9 install and it is still not working. Here is the error I keep getting. Any ideas? Note: this is on new computer running win7 64 if that makes a difference.

Well done!

Oh well, I can't seem to get it to work in Word 2010. I have read all the articles and believe I am following the instructions... Win7 64 running Office 2010 32bit No biggie. It was kinda cool when I used with Word 2007. Well, I think I figured it out. I had installed Office 2010 in click-to-Run mode while I waited for my install DVD's to arrive. But

So, any word on a way to edit the lovely grey icon?

Novabench doesn't seem to see my video card on my laptop. It tests using the intel onboard gpu. Is there a way to get it to use the Radeon card?
-
I have read many laptop reviews. I don't know of many manufacturers who have yet to conquer the heat generation of the Mobile i7's. So, am a bit wary. Went with an i5...

I have removed the New HCSB and downloaded the old, rebuilt the Bible index. Indexer still crashes at 99%. Here are my log files. 8321.Logos4IndexerCrashLogs.zip

Doesn't work for me. Now, I have no HCSB.

Well, the 50 year old eyes won the argument. I ended up going with 17.3" 1600x900 laptop from HP instead of the 15.6" 1920x1080 from Sony.
-
Have a friend with a Sony 16.4" doing 1920x1080. It is very sharp. And Logos looks beautiful. What I think think gives the impression of sharpness is dot pitch - the distance between dots, not necessarily the resolution. A 15.5" screen pushing 1366x768 can look as sharp as a 17" screen pushing 1600x900. I, too, am toying with purchasing a 1920x1080

Thanks!

Also, in L3's SD, you can right click on a word and have a menu displayed that will execute the display information window and other options. In L4, right-clicking a word only shows the typical Windows text options menu. Are there any plans to add this to L4?
-
Melissa: Thanks for your response. You folks are so helpful. I am probably not explaining myself too well. Here is a graphic to hopefully depict what I am trying to say. In SD in L3 I can grab the word ourselves from Titus 3:3 and move it to be with were. In L4, I cannot... it won't move backward. The moving of chunks of text works fine in both. But
-
Yes, this way you have it is certainly one way, but I believe you have imported the text as a line diagram instead of a text flow diagram (L3 called it Wrapping Columns). In L3's SD, it allows you to change word order in the text flow (Wrapping Columns) mode. I like being able to move chunks of text around in text flow mode. In line diagram mode, you

I don't know if this is in the works for the current Beta or future betas, but in L3 in a text flow diagram, you can change word order. I don't seem to be able to do this in L4. Also, will there be an option to export to pdf coming?

To reinforce Kevin's comment on PC specs, do not underestimate his words...I would spend whatever discretionary funds you have to upgrade your computer if it does not exceed far beyond the recommended specs. Really, I would get the fastest PC you can afford BEFORE adding resources or you will likely be disappointed in the speed. Logos 4 is great, but
