I have been asking to see the Amharic Bible included in your format for a long time, even though it would not be your priority, I would like to ask once again. Blessings in Christ
This was a very nice request, and I hope that you will receive it. Though it may not be a priority economically, having the Bible in one's native

  • Re: If logos for iphone, why not for linux or at least wine

I think this question has been sufficiently answered. What you're proposing is that they stop implementing features on Logos 4 to make it compatible with wine, and completely abandon Logos 4 Mac? I'm sure you'd like to have a version that works on Linux, but that doesn't seem like a prudent solution. As was mentioned earlier, you can use the web version

  • Re: If logos for iphone, why not for linux or at least wine

Yes, that has been mentioned. I think people are still underestimating the ease of porting it into Wine. They are also underestimating the benefit of having a native application (or front end). Furthermore, we do not know the performance of such an implementation. Finally, the program would be dependent on an open source 3rd party program which has

Bob, Thanks for your response. I'm always encouraged by the amount of time that you spend responding to forum posts. And you don't just post during work hours, but throughout the day! Changhee, Thanks for your post and clarification. I'm sorry if I came across too hard to you; that was not my intention. Your posts were very carefully worded suggestions

  • Re: Disappointed

I think Logos has dealt very fairly and graciously with its users. Perhaps they may not have implemented exactly what we want or how we want it, but we cannot deny that they are an open and responsive company. These complaints did not exist with Libronix because users didn't have as high expectations that they do with Logos 4. But since they've listened

  • Re: Why the descrepancy of resources between L4 and L3?

All of the books available in Logos 4 are available in Logos 3, I believe. There are some books not updated for Logos 4. Thus, if you have your licenses sync'd, and all the resources downloaded, you should have more available in Logos 3. Since you don't, it is likely that you haven't manually downloaded resources for Logos 3 for which you have license

Unfortunately I don't know of an easy way to download the books that you're missing. This is one of the major benefits of Logos 4, in my opinion. The fewest steps (but highest bandwidth and disk space) would be to download them all from the FTP and put them in your resources folder. Alternatively, you can make a list of resources you're missing and

  • Re: Anybody noticed how SLOW L4 is?
Just as soon as I post this about the slowness of L4, some one else starts a thread on the same thing! In other words....I'm definitely not alone.
I don't think you discovered something new. All of us with Logos 4 have a very similar experience, but most just don't feel a need to post about it.

  • Re: Selling Book Licenses

I understood what Kevin was saying, so maybe I'm missing the contradiction: The moratorium has been lifted; we can now sell/transfer our licenses. Using these forums to advertise is a different issue. It is still against the guidelines to post our sales. edit: Looks like he beat me to a response.

it is unfortunate that the discussion has broken down; I thought the first post was spot-on. By the way, I think Frank may have been referring to MJ. edit: whoops, typo

  • Navigators Collection: Donald Whitney, JP Moreland, Jerry Bridges

I would like to see these in Logos, especially Jerry Bridges titles and Whitney's book on spiritual disciplines.

  • Re: Which Ipad to buy

There is no 8gb version, so 16gb is the smallest. It is more than adequate for Logos. Unless you're placing full-length movies on it, it should hold all of the programs and music that you need. It is up to you whether you need the 3G. I know the AT&T pricing in the US for data, but I don't know how much it costs in Madagascar, nor even which carrier

  • Re: iPad - About to make the purchase

Christina, 32GB should be plenty. I have a 16GB, and since I don't store music or movies on it, it is always free of space. Pandora (free) and Air Video (2.99) are great apps to look into, as well as a whole bunch more. Alain, I like your setup! i have the Treo Pro with SERO also, which I use with wmwifirouter when needed. It isn't very often, since

  • Re: Amazon Kindle Gearing Up To Take On IPad?

It is a matter of preference, but I simply cannot stand the refresh on the current e-ink screens. If they had sped it up, I would have purchased a Kindle by now. If the Kindle "tablet" is e-ink, then it would be a huge feat to increase refresh, have color, and incorporate a quality touchscreen. That certainly would be a worthy competitor. We'll see

I can't speak for all of them, but the resources I've purchased which are also included in that bundle downloaded to Logos 4 for me. Biblical Archaeologist and BAR are available in my library. Are you missing something? Or perhaps, maybe you're just gathering information before making an informed purchase? If you're confused about the comment on the

  • Re: Speed greatly increased

SSD is the way to go for a major boost in Logos speed. You can get a 60gb drive for $100 and with some work you can make that your Windows system drive + Logos, and keep your documents (and programs if you wish) on a separate drive. Logos flies on my system largely as a result of the SSD.

  • Re: March Madness - a strategy?

I briefly looked through the list, and would say that I will prioritize resources that I know I will end up buying individually eventually. This means (1) resources that aren't available as part of a set and (2) that aren't available free as public domain books or similar. After that, I definitely will consider price. update: I checked. The expensive
