  • Peculiarities of Specific Books

I doubt we want to start a thread for each book, but I have come across some oddities. My SESB edition of NA27 is Greek only and there is no linking to the critical apparatus. Holmes' Apostolic Fathers Greek texts shows up in interlinear mode with text, analysis, lemma. The SBL Greek NT shows up fine, and text critical marks when tapped switch the display

Installed on my Droid X, and it took about 17.5Mb. Moved app to SD card, and now it only takes up 4.38 on the main memory. I've posted a quick initial response/review here: http://bibleandtech.blogspot.com/2011/07/logos-for-android-released.html

It seems you are asking about 2 different things. If you tap on screen while already in a book, at the top left will appear what kind of looks like an icon outline next to the navigation box. Tap the icon to get full table of contents from which you can navigate. Changing books can either occur through the Library selection or Jump reference within

  • Re: Searching for ἐν τῷ + Inf constructions

Yes, they will be accusative since they will be the subject of the infinitive. While Luke likes to use en tw INF, many of those are instances of egeneto en tw INF which is something of a Septuagintalism. (This is where the KJV gets its: and it came to pass...) Instead of the command search, I think it would be lots easier to use a syntax search. Apparently

  • Re: Windows shuts Logos 4 down on startup

Ok, I uninstalled the precursor stuff and the program. Then I went and manually deleted all the directories that Logos had created. (including the AppData ones. Then I started from scratch again, letting everything run without doing anything. Looks like it is going to run successfully this time. Thanks, Dave.

BTW, I did try starting w/ CTRL and using the blank layout, but still had the same problem.

  • Re: Passage Analysis - Pericope limitation > Bug or 'Feature'?

I'm simply trying to bump this up... Can anyone do a passage analysis on an entire book of the Bible?(Compare Pericopes or Word Tree or Morph River or Cluster Graph or Version River) It is especially helpful to run a Morph River on an entire book. This was possible to do in L3. Thanks...

  • Passage Analysis - Pericope limitation > Bug or 'Feature'?

I've checked all the FAQs and the wiki, and I can't find anywhere where my question is addressed, so I'll try posting here. Using Tools > Passage Analysis > Morph River In Logos3, a demonstration I really liked to show using the Verb River tool was how in Romans, the imperative mood verbs pile up in the last few chapters. It showed at a glance how Paul

  • Re: Greek to Hebrew

Thank you! That does indeed accomplish what I want and does so very effectively. It's not giving me all the results I was expecting, but it does quite well. It does not appear to be based directly on the Tov-Polak database.

  • Re: Greek to Hebrew

Thanks for showing how to use a Greek word and show what Hebrew words it translates. BUT, is there a way to find all the ways a Hebrew word is translated in the LXX? Bible Word Study doesn't seem to do it. Tov-Polak Parallel Aligned Hebrew/Greek should be able to do it, but I can't figure out the syntax. Thanks for any help.

  • Re: Graph Bible Search Results not displaying charts

Everything seems to be working fine if I do a "Bible" search, but the Graph Results option is not available at all if I do a Morph search. Is this intentional? (BTW, I do have the latest update: 4.0.3.2700)

  • Re: Searching for significant textual variants within Logos

Check out the work Wieland Willker has done here: http://www-user.uni-bremen.de/~wie/TCG/index.html In particular, note this PDF: The top textual variants of the Gospels (His work has been shared as a user-module in BW, so if someone has the PBB tool, Willker may be willing to let his work be converted for use in Logos.)

I'm finding that I go first to the General group, and this allows me to ignore the Mac section. It would be nice to ignore certain threads so I don't have to keep scanning the titles, but I would also like to be earmark threads that I want to follow. BUT, I do prefer this to the newsgroups.

  • Re: SESB 3 - CATSS

One of the major problems of the LXX morphological text in Logos was the coding errors. Two that I had noted were the incorrect coding of over 2000 infinitives as indicatives (There should be about 7351 total in all books of the LXX) and the incorrect rendering of ἐπ̓ instead of ἐπʼ (If you are having trouble viewing this Unicode text, the difference
