Mark, thanks for the quick reply. It's incredible how spoiled I am with this software. I just don't feel right when it's not working. Thanks again, Luther

  • Logos 5 crashes on startup after power outage

My computer shutdown due to a power outage and it appears to have damaged the logos installation. I tried reinstalling from the support page but it says it's up to date. It crashes immediately on opening. I enabled logs and have attached them to this post. Thanks for the help Luther

  • Re: Post your desired enhancements here

Thanks for the reply. To get the read position sync to work, do I have to close the book? I notice that if I open a book on another device, it does open to the correct location. If I have the book open on multiple devices at the same time, they all keep their own position in the text. I use favorites to keep the last position but when I'm on a laptop

It has been nice getting the updates from .94 to 1.13 so rapidly. While my desire would be eventually to see parity with IOS devices, I do have some things that I'd like to have routinely now. I would very much like to see bible word study work. On my Iphone it looks up the definition at a minimum. On my Nook Tablet with A2A card it brings up a screen

  • Re: Faithlife/Logos/Biblia/Vyrso for Android 1.1 Beta 1 Released

Thank you for your efforts in the android version. It's really a pleasure to have enhanced usability and functionality with consistently stable (although beta) releases. Keeping user data with each upgrade is an added bonus. I particularly like the text size slider and the overall presentation of the application. Automated upgrades are also a plus.

  • Re: Logos Android app on Nook Tablet ?

I just bought Nook Tablets for my wife and I. I didn't want to void any warranties so rooting was out. I found an app from one of Mr Walkers posts with a link that let me set the NT to accept installation of other apps. From there (with an 8GB MicroSDHC card required) I installed Logos right from the logos web site through the .94 release announcement

  • View Downloaded Books

Is there a way to just see the books already downloaded to the device? If not, I'd like to suggest this as an enhancement. Thanks, Luther

  • Vyrso capabilities

I've got Vyrso on my Iphone. I downloaded a variety of my Logos resources. How do I see the downloaded resources so I can choose one to read. I know I can go to the library and select it but I expected I'd see a list of the local resources somewhere. I'm using Vyrso because as a reader it's faster than the Logos mobile app and doesn't seem to go to

  • Re: Is Logos 4 theologically biased?

I wish I knew which results were conservative and which were liberal. I'm so new at this that when I don't understand something in the bible (and I usually read the same thing in the ESV, NRSV, KJV and NIV and sometimes NLT to try to understand it (most recently studying Romans 7 and 8), I have trouble figuring out which commentary will give me a biblical

  • Re: New Logos.Com ... What's New?

Phil, I appreciate your personal replies to my issues. I trust from my past experiences with Logos that if you say it's going to be better then I'm sure I'll like it. I'm afraid that I'm one of the people that didn't know what the grey buttons meant. Even if they're wrong some of the time, the old web site didn't do anything to tell me I already owned

  • Re: New Logos.Com ... What's New?

Phil, You asked what's missing. In the old site as I reviewed the community pricing, I could see what I'd previously bid. Now I have to click through to a deeper level to see that (I'm hoping I missed something). Also, as I review the prepubs, I used to be able to see which ones I'd already ordered, at what price and when. Again I have to click through

Thank you all for your help. Now I know 3 ways to do it. I was dragging the window around by the title bar not by the tab. In fact, I never even noticed the tab before. Thanks again for the help Luther

  • How do I put Biblical Places into a Tab in a layout:

I've searched the forums and tried dragging it all over but I don't seem to be able to get it to change from a floating window to a tab. Is it because it's a tool and not a document? I love the feature and I realize it's not much good as a tab because of the lack of real estate on the screen but I forget it's there if it's not in a tab (it's an age

  • Re: BUG: NIV has lost it's scroll bar in Logos 4.2B1

Jerry was correct in that I had paged view checked. I tried to find paged view in the help file but couldn't find it. Unchecking the selection got me my scroll bar back (I looked on the wiki and it clearly says the scroll bar isn't there in paged view). As I said, I don't know what paged view is supposed to do. Do they document these new features when

Dan, I honestly don't know what to say to such a generous and timely response except thank you. I appreciate the out of the box thinking that brought this solution to you and to us. This is what makes doing business with Logos such a pleasure. Your care for your customers and your company are displayed in this type of customer oriented behavior by you

Bob, You've already done what I wanted. You've acknowledged the issue and said you'll try. I don't walk in your shoes and I don't understand the economics of running your business (without which we wouldn't have Logos blessing our bible study). However, I know that you do and I trust that you'll do what you can. Bless you and your organization, Luther

  • Timing of PrePub Releases is detrimental to Logos Sales

Let me first say that I love Logos. It has enhanced my bible study and prayer life in more ways than I can count. However, I've been sitting on between $2k to $4k of prepubs for several years and they typically come out at a rate that I can accomodate. This recent release of a large volume of prepubs left me no choice but to cancel approximately half
