  • Re: Layout updates temporary

Fred, thanks for the screencast. I think the confusion comes in my failing to distinguish between the layout that is saved and one of the panels within the layout, namely the passage guide. The layout itself, correct me if I am wrong, is saved when the user updates in the layout menu. The passage guide, on the other hand, remains as it was last used

MJ, thanks for interacting on this. I did save the layout with guide completely collapsed. But, when I shut down the app or shut down the laptop and then start up again, the guide is not collapsed. So, to state in other words, I fixed the layout with the guides collapsed, then when to the layout menu and updated the "Greek" layout to the current layout

Fred, thanks for your response. I have done that, and it all works as long as I don't shut down the Logos app . If I just close the Logos window in macOS, and then open it up again, the guide works as it should, remembering the layout as I left it. However, when I close the program (by right clicking on the Logos icon in the dock) and then start up

  • Layout updates temporary

When I open a passage guide in a user-defined layout, I want all the resources to not be expanded (which takes a lot of time when I move from verse to verse). I can click on the arrow beside each to shrink it down and then update the layout. That works fine as long as Logos stays open and running on my computer. But if I shut Logos down, and then restart

  • Spanish returns English book names

We are developing a multi-language site, and have just launched Spanish version. But reftagger RVR and NVI both return some English bible book names in the reference display. Also not all legitimate abbreviations are recognized by reftagger. Looking at the NVI product/resource on the Logos website, and that shows the Spanish book titles correctly, so

Further to John Fields comments, in the actual the RVR60 resource, some bible book names show in English and not Spanish. They should all be Spanish.

  • Re: BUG report for Mojave: Blank Side Panels

Count me as experiencing the same problem. In my layout, the Exegetical and Passage guides are keyed to my bibles that are open, but the guide windows show completely white. Blind clicking shows there is content there, it just doesn't show. If I shut down Logos completely and restart it, those two guides then show up in my layout. After while they disappear

  • Re: Links inconsistent in Commentaries

Paul (and Mark), thanks for validating my experience. Both of your explanations make sense. Obviously it was an "executive" decision on the part of the Logos team on how to handle such situations. But, from a users point of view it would be better to tag resources like this differently. My guess is that the scripts to do that would be more complicated

  • Links inconsistent in Commentaries

I have "Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament: John." When I open that resource in a window and enter a Scripture passage, say John 10:22, the window positions to the footnotes, rather than to the commentary text. When I type in John 10:22-24, it correctly positions to the commentary text. Obviously there is no specific commentary text tag
