Thanks Justin/Mike I like the idea of redirecting a directory. I did this a while ago when I was on an old surface so I redirected my whole library to an micro SD card :-) I'll have to good how to do this again but I don't think it was very complicated. Thanks as well Mike, I've done Beta testing in the past but I think I'll take your advice and keep

Just thinking about speed. I'm not sure if you open every single area of a guide when you use them but if you do you can speed things up a lot by closing all the sections down (right click on diddy arrow and then "close all" or something like that. you can then open up the sections that you need (and then close them again after) and everything seems

[quote user="Michael"] [quote user="David McKay"] Everything is faster with my new laptop. Waiting less time for the program to start is a bonus, but I especially appreciate the searches taking about five seconds, instead of over a minute and a half. However, my new laptop has an unwelcome feature: I get a “blue screen of death” every day or so, and

  • Location of mobile Ed media

Hiya Does anyone know if it is possible to change the location that logos stores mobile ed videos ? I am using an ssd for logos to speed things up but I don't want to completely fill it with videos. Is it possible to somehow configure logos so it stores my library on the SSD and mobile ed videos on my normal drive ? Thanks

  • Re: Need for Speed (mostly what this post is about) with a couple suggestions

[quote user="phrogger"]1. Do what Apple does. They devote every other hardware and software release to SPEED. Like screen scrolling speed . Window opening speed . Since Logos needs to catch up, how about Logos 9 and 10 just for SPEED . I'd buy it. Just get marketing to repackage and rename some of the hundred features that people haven't even touched

  • Re: Downloading Videos

Hi Henry, If the video is on faithlifetv or in the blog area there is no faith-life facility to download it that I know of either. A search of Chrome extensions will most probably help you though because there are tools for capturing streaming video :-)

You can also link the bible verse up to the atlas which seems very useful https://blog.logos.com/2019/01/easily-locate-maps-related-to-a-passage-mp/

Hi John, I'm in the UK and the sales team in the US are very helpful to us over here :-) Because of the time difference they are on line in the afternoon and evening which for me is very convent. If you look at base packages etc. there will be a chat window that you can get to by clicking on the small floating window :-) . You can configure the logos

Just a side thought but if you could find a search that could narrow down your library you could manually drag and drop them into a collection ?

  • Re: L8 Launch Week Questions

Hi Daniel. I was wondering if and when the web app will catch up with all the features of the desktop app. This isn't a big deal at all for me at the moment because I use the desktop app for study and the webapp for reading but I was just wondering if there are concrete plans afoot to remove the gap in functionality. I'm not even sure if this would

[quote user="David A Egolf"] Phil, The web version, https://app.logos.com/, is hard to find from the www.logos.com page. It should have a link, if even next to the forums link at the bottom of the page. I found it bycoming to this forum and reading your post. Otherwise, it doesn't get much publicity. 3rd'ed :-) I think as well as the software itself being faster, the user interface seems more efficient as well. A couple less clicks to do things etc. I love the indexing speed now. Before my computer would spend ages indexing but now it seems to be done in a few minutes.

  • Re: Initial Reaction to L8?

My personal opinion is that L8 is fantastic overall. I think Faithlife have a lot of work still to do in finishing off features but I'm guessing that with such a step change in the program we could have everything finished before a release in 2019 or something a big step up from L7 with faithlife "to do" list they are working though. I am very happy

  • Fantastic

Thanks Faithlife. Logos 8 is a real step up from the previous versions. I think features like the Canvas and workflows are brilliant . My initial impression is that Faithife have hit the bulls-eye with this one. As well as the features, I also love the new look and feel. The whole package just feels more professional and solid. Well done and thanks

[quote user="Mark"] [quote user="Phil Gons (Faithlife)"] I'm not suggesting there isn't interest beyond this group (I know there is; our Pre-Pub numbers demonstrate that). But I was a little surprised to learn that there's a relatively small group of folks who are really engaged in the journals conversation. I don't think we should conclude too much
