• Re: Newbie to Logos looking for some help...

Hi Eric. Good question. I’m not “Logos” (just a user), but happy to share what I do. As you go, I’m sure you’ll develop approaches that suit what you want to achieve. I have one notebook where I enter all my Bible notes ("Allen’s Bible Notes"). There are thousands of them, but most are brief. Many contain cross-references
I was asked how was " gospel " or " ευαγγελιον " understood prior to it being applied to Christ in the NT. Did it have a religious connotation or was it merely used to refer to family or social events of some sort. Are there tools in LOGOS that could help me

  • Bible Engagement Project (Logos 9 packs)

Looks like some new Logos 9 packages labelled "Bible Engagement Project": Bronze Silver Gold Platinum Anyone from a Charismatic/Pentecostal background may find them more attractive than the current Logos 9 Pente/Ch packs. I bought Bronze for Keener's Spirit Hermeneutics (Eerdmans, 2016).
Which journals do you find most helpful in your studies? Is there a particular journal that you go to most often? Thank you.
Interesting question, Michael. Sorting my library by "Most Used", filtered to "type:journal", it looks like the ones I've used most are: JETS (Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society
... moving Logos from my HDD to my SSD ...
Yes, that will do it Tony. Makes sense when you consider what Logos is doing that the disk I/O would be the bottleneck. I made the same move a couple of laptops ago, and shared your joy.

  • Re: TDOT/TDNT
I have this but in Dynamic pricing it shows about $35, so there must be a new Volume or an update. For some reason the listing on the website doesn’t list the volumes individually so I can’t tell from the listing on the website what I am missing to determine if I have an interest or not. Does anyone know a way

  • Re: The "Undelete" feature... Thank you Logos!!!
In a moment of inattention, I deleted not only the intended note, but the whole notebook! My blood pressure skyrocketed when I realized the many hours of study notes were gone. In half panic I searched and found Logos had the deleted notebook in the cloud server where I was able to undelete the deleted. Thank you Faithlife
Would you recommend this dictionary for someone like me? I preach about three times per year and teach regularly in Sunday school. On occasion I find myself wanting to know more about Judaism at large in the period this dictionary covers and am a bit frustrated that the dictionaries I have don't give me the info I want. I
The Atlas tool just defaults to FL's online maps. Nothing wrong with that, and it's still great, but I'm afraid my own paid resources are being neglected. Is there another way to integrate purchased atlases in an organized and convenient way like the default Atlas feature?
I don't have an answer for you, Ken, but
The layout of the book is unorthodox. The first 200 pages of Volume 2 are the endnotes to Volume 1. As per our standard, we captured these as footnotes.
Ah, Thanks so much for the explanation, Kyle. And I really appreciate the conversion of endnotes so they work as footnotes. That's just perfect for digital books

Examples: Writers often reuse key words or phrases. As you read and re-read the passage, you'll feel, "That word again?" Right-click, choose the lemma, and click search Bible. That highlights
