  • Re: Best practices for quoting resources that don't have page numbers

In Turabian, you cite the chapter. According to 17.1.10 (page 181 in my 8th edition): [quote] If you downloaded the book in a dedicated ebook format, specify the format and do not include an access date. See 15.4.1 for more details...Another option if the page numbers are not stable is to cite by chapter or another numbered division (see 17.1.7.1) or

[quote user="Jordan Sjodin"] Happy to announce we just released Proclaim 3.1 which brings with it customization on the alt-content outputs! You can now move and edit textfields, change backgrounds and apply smart media templates just like you would for the regular slide outputs. Plus you can preview all your virtual screens from Preview mode with the

  • Re: how do u link this with this and with this?

I don't think it is possible. The parsing guide is not tagged with Bible reference milestones, although I think it clearly ought to be. You can tell me the fact you cannot enter anything but page numbers in the navigation box. It is a fairly old resource (2014), so it is due for an update with that functionality.

  • Re: Logos Application Location

As mentioned, if you save a default layout, Logos will remember your display preferences. Controlling where things open is a broader Windows problem, and the best solution I know of is Power Toys. I am not sure why Microsoft does not include it in the default installation, but it will let you assign Logos to a zone or just have all apps open on the

Well, embarassingly, I just tried to make a video to show what is happening, and what did not work yesterday is working fine today. Thanks, Graham. Sorry for wasting your time, I cannot understand what happened.

You are also missing "Factbook" and "Preaching Mode" under "Tools," which were added in L9. I would probably uninstall and reinstall the app; somehow your feature licenses seem to be messed up.

  • Re: Preaching Mode and OSB

It is not a big deal. I was just looking forward to integrating my notes and the Proclaim remote, instead of having to switch back and forth, but since we use OSB for the initial Scripture reading in each sermon, that was preventing me from a total switch. Thanks for the response!

  • Sermon editor: triple-click text

In the Sermon Editor (Logos 9, Windows 10), when I triple-click a line, it appears to highlight that paragraph, but does not allow me to set format the paragraph (such as making it Heading 1). To do that, I have to manually drag the selection I want. This is not a huge deal, but it is a little annoying.

  • Preaching Mode and OSB

Is there a way to insert On Screen Bible slides so that they can be controlled from preaching mode on my iPad? I am not really sure if this is a L9 question or a Proclaim question.

  • Re: Merging of Tim Keller's Sermon Archives

Presumably, the issue is pricing. . What happens to those who only own part of it? Do you get a license for part when you buy part, then lose that book and get it replaced with a more comprehensive one if you upgrade? What if you have the original package and 2016-2017, but not the other two? The logistics seem complex unless FL is going to give everyone

  • Re: Disappointed in Proclaim 3 virtual screen feature.

I want to second this. To me, being able to simply apply a different smart media template to the virtual display would take this from "cool idea" to "killer feature." Resizing the "foreground only" template requires switching scenes in OBS when I need the "duplicate" feature for something else and is just generally clunky.

I think you should have the passage list feature in 8, so I am not sure what upgrading to 9 has to do with it.

If you create a passage list, then you can just click the links. Or make a sermon document, where you can put the tract contents in there with the Scripture references, then tap on the reference to open your Bible to that passage.

It looks like it is just not recognizing the books you already own because the collection is of the Logos editions and the books you currently own are the ebook editions. Since you will get upgraded to the Faithlife editions, this seems like a mistake.

To further complicate the muddy water, you can rent features and books: https://connect.faithlife.com/pricing . There used to be a great option to rent features only, but that has been discontinued (I guess it was too great!). The Bible Browser is included in the "starter" for $8.99/month. The problem is that, unlike buying a package, the rental plans
