I have been using the Passage Study Layout for the longest time, but the main thing you want to do is define what you are looking for and then pick a method that is appropriate. I use the Passage Study because I often don't know even the right questions to be asking unless I've been working in a given portion of scripture for some
What is the focus of your study? Personal growth, Sermon preparation, Seminary, etc?
I do sermon prep and write and publish articles on Biblical subjects. --Thanks.
These are all great resources. For studying a topic, consider the topic guide as increasingly deprecated. I would either use the Factbook (which will pull from Nave and other resources) or the workflow, depending on how much handholding you want. The passage list is a good place to store your own research, but is not very

  • Re: Illustrations Guide - No Results

Searching my Library for "illustrations," it appears that the only work with this word in the title is under Type "Monograph," and Title "Bible Illustrations," by Edward Maunde Thompson, copyright, 1896, by Henry Frowde. Therefore, I imagine that I need to purchase something like the work you mentioned, "1500 Illustrations for Biblical Preaching," to

  • Best Method - Guides, Tools, etc

I am in my first year using Logos. I have gained a lot of ground, but I still have nagging doubts in the back of my mind over whether I'm using the best method to get the most from my study time. Plus, when there are several possible approaches, I also feel like I'm on information overload. The feelings of nagging doubts and information-overload while

  • Illustrations Guide - No Results

I have entered various references into my Logos 8 Illustrations Guide with no results. Does this mean I do not have any illustrations in my Library?

  • Re: Copy Bible Verses Tool - Book Abbreviations - Customization

I appreciate all the input thus far. Three-letter book name abbreviations are common; maybe FaithLife will see fit to add them to Logos in the future.

  • Copy Bible Verses Tool - Book Abbreviations - Customization

Are Bible book abbreviations in the Copy Bible Verses Tool configurable? For example: Instead of Ge I would like to use Gen Without having to manually edit abbreviations each time I copy and paste Bible verses. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Chuck

  • Re: How to automatically save highlights to notebooks?

Hi Joe, I checked the version on my iPhone, and it is evidently even later than what you specified; it is v. 8.10.1 (0028). Alas, after highlighting Bible text, I discovered that it still goes to No Notebook, even after I went to the Notes screen within the iOS app and selected my desired notebook. Please help. Thanks, Chuck

Has the update been rolled out for iPhone yet? If so, will it apply automatically, or does it require user interaction? --Thanks, Chuck

  • Re: One More Bug: not holding default font size

Has there been any resolution to this problem? I love the Notes tool, but it distracts study and wastes time to constantly fix inconsistent typeface sizes when composing notes. Even with a copy/paste of plain text from NotePad, the Notes tool always changes the size of the text to 11-point instead of my specified default.

Any ETA on being able to permanently delete documents from my documents at https://documents.logos.com/ ? I have several deleted items as I've been learning Logos software, and I don't want to sift through the unneeded clutter if I'm actually looking for something I really want to restore.

  • Highlights - Jumping to a Highlight in a Notebook

Is there a way to make the Notebook jump to a highlight in the same manner as it jumps to a note? With my resource (NKJV in this case) open and my Notebook open, w hen I click on a highlight in my resource, the Notebook does not jump to that highlight as it jumps to a note when I click a note icon in the resource. Therefore, if I want to delete a highlight
