• Re: Logos 4 And Hard Drive Speed
True. However, I'm running on a thousand dollar budget. So, based on current prices, if I want to get the 7200, I'll have to sacrifice the i7 and the 1 GB graphics card in favor of an i5 and a half gig graphics card (both of which are very essential to running logos efficiently based on other forums here). I could be wrong

  • Re: How Do I export "clippings" in McLogos?

Not there yet (export is essentially the same as printing in L4), no date or time frame provided, but it is there in the latest version for windows, so my hope and dream is within six months (took more then that for windows).

  • Re: Am I wrong or the translation?

One of the core principles behind inductive study is to examine the scriptural context. With Rom 7 in particular, a good reading of both Rom 6 & 8 will help you both understand why he's talking about the law of God and our flesh. v25 sums it up nicely: 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then , on the one hand I myself with my mind
Go and watch the video on this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/6731.aspx If it seems like something that you could do if things go wrong, then you're ready for the beta.
I think this is excellent advice. I would also say that you need to be willing to actually do the actions in the video on regular basis

Thanks, should say that I've been unable to get the highlighting panel to show for at least the last beta, if not two.
I think that I may want the Bible Study edition of Logos. However, ultimately I hope to be studying Greek (via Dr. Mounce's materials). Could I start out with the Bible Study edition and then over time add (purchase) additional books etc. in Greek to add to my Logos?
Sounds like a good start, check out Mounce's website for

  • Re: Need Scholarly Advice

The Scholar's version is the first version that has all of the base software features. I would think you might want to look less at the books (in your particular case) but instead the features. In particular the features that give you access to what would otherwise require strong original language skills: Syntax Search Complete Bible Word Study (adds
Mike, Can you upload your visualmarkup.db? It's in /Users/ /Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/ /VisualMarkup/visualmarkup.db I suspect something in your custom highlighting styles is causing the panel not to open. Just out of curiosity, have you created any custom styles? If so, were you using Windows?
I had a similar problem and I resolved it by going to the vimeo.com website and viewing them from there. For example, Resource Prioritization is at: http://vimeo.com/8079931 and Moving from 3 to 4 is at: http://vimeo.com/7650659

  • Re: Manual for Logos4 Mac?

I would say that things are similar enough (I have the MP Vol 1 and Vol 2 manuals for L4 with the updates) that everything maps. There are a few differences in implementation that may (I hope) be bridged with the exit of the beta, and obviously keyboard shortcuts are different, but that's really all I see. An example of something that's different: When

  • Timeline for Notes formatting parity?

I tried to indent a quote in my notes on the mac yesterday and found that, while the buttons are there, the feature doesn't work. Was this a "slipped through the cracks" thing, or a feature that didn't make it in? Either way, is there a timeline for this feature? Is there a timeline for the "Compact | Full" notes view too?

  • Re: Are there future risks in making Mac L4 Mono (.NET) based?

Yes. Are concerns justified for using .NET on Windows? Yes too, just not as much risk. 1. Continued Mono: Not soo much; It is to MS's benefit that they have a cross-platform VM. It increases the "stickiness" of Windows/.NET. (could write volumes here) 2. Support: Definitely a concern, but not much IMHO. Fact is, things change. If you're looking for
