• Re: WBC and indexing

I find it interesting how depressed I got when my Logo wouldn't work. Arrrg. Can't download 9Gigs of data. I live in Africa. So bandwidth is slow and expensive!

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately it didn't help. I removed both my ad blockers. So now I get all the ads again. Go me. And the indexer will still not start. And since this behaviour started with the Gold Master, I don't think its beta specific. It doesn't look like the attempt at the older version worked anyway. It didn't copy over to the Applications

Tried to install an older version. It didn't work but it did allow the download to complete. So I now have all my new resources on the harddrive. However the indexing refuses to start. This of course means I cannot access any of those wonderful resources I paid plenty bucks for. This annoys me. As a programmer myself (I write iPhone software) I understand

  • Re: WBC and indexing

I tried updating to the latest SR-1. Didn't help. The download of 700MB+ starts and then crashes. My indexer crashes. Can't access my documents. This is very annoying. Seems the download option isn't so good after all. Here are the dbs 0724.databases.zip And here is the logs 4812.Logs.zip The logs seem to indicate the problem is with the indexer app

  • WBC and indexing

Bought WBC 59vol set at the discount price yesterday. Let Logos4Mac download all the files. (230MB+-) Now I only see 5 of the commentaries and I can't seem to get Logos to reindex my library. Also I notice that most of the books in the Resource folder for Logos4 are in the old Libronix format. Is that even supported on Logos4Mac? PS. I have the Mac

That is correct. If you have the Audio Bible it works in the Mac version.
Robert: I can repro the wrong behavior with the Swanson resource you wee trying with. I'll post your logs (and mine) In the meantime have you tried it with Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament, 27th Edition? That one works for me.
Yes. I tried every single version of the 27th Edition. With interlinear, and without, with

Hi Tommy Yes I did download Beta 11 and yes the very first thing I checked was if the Greek had suddenly started working. Unfortunately not. Did take logs... Here they are. 6813.Archive.zip And not to worry. There is no such thing as a silly question, just ... *run*!

Thanks for the list. I checked them. Mostly. Only one I didn't do was the 3rd one and the last one. They all show the symptoms that I specified before. It gets read but no audio except for the chapter numbers. If you check my account you will see that I did buy the Greek Audio Bible. So I am not asking for functionality that I did not pay for. Any thoughts

I have not tested every option but I have looked at a couple of greek Texts now. I opened the Library and typed in morphology. I then chose a couple of the Greek texts eg Wescott and Hort, Elzevir Textus Receptus and a few others. I always see the same result. The only way I can describe the behaviour is as follows. Assume that each word in the Greek

  • Greek Read Aloud again....

Will it ever work? I guess I must have misunderstood how it worked. I assumed that I should be able to hear my Greek bible in Greek. I get silence. The rest of the interface seems to work. The flashing star advances and the little audio player advances the verse that it is reading. But no sound. Send it a bug report before. When we were in Alpha 22

  • Re: Beta 8 is unusable

Thanks guys for all the messages and suggestions. The type of research I was doing is the kind of stuff the "Learn Greek and Hebrew with Logos Bible Software" videos drill into you. Glad it will be fixed in Beta 9. Was trying to figure out how the word "power" is used in the NT, the nuances of the word and if there is any pattern of nuances by author

  • Beta 8 is unusable

    1. Open Logos 4 2. Type rom 1:16 in the command bar and press enter 3. Right click on power, choose lemma and click Search this resource 4. If not already selected choose Analysis and sort by Louw-Nida. 5. App becomes completely unresponsive. No beach ball. Just refuses to respond 53804.Archive.zip Can't do the most basic research. :(

  • Passage List is working well NOT.

If you want to completely crash Logos 4 Mac Beta 4 do the following... Open Safari Go to the following Address ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atonement_(governmental_view) ) Scroll down to Scriptural Evidence and select all the scripture references Right Click on the highlighted text and choose Copy from the menu Start Logos 4 Choose File/New/Passage

  • How to reliably crash Logos 4 Beta 4

Start Logos On the Home page click on the first reading list link (in my case it was Hermeneutics) The reading list pane opens. It sits there and twirls but no reading list appears. Close it by clicking on the 'x' in the top right hand corner of the pane. Hang Open Activity Monitor Force quit Logos. Start again.

  • Performance on Exegetical Guide in Beta 3 is really bad

Steps to reproduce Start Logos. Type in Genesis 22:1-19 in the Passsage bar and Click Go. Wait the required time for the process to complete (This is as slow as Logos 3 on Windows and the previous Mac version) Click on the Exegetical Guide tab. Takes a number of seconds to even display Try scrolling, Very difficult. Makes the Exegetical Guide impossible
