Rik, I'm running Ubuntu 20.10, with update and dist-upgrade complete. The process hangs permanently after agreeing to install corefonts.
-
That's funny. I just ran it without "sudo" and it started the installer.
-
While following the new wasta instructions provided by Rik, nothing happens when I run "wasta [Logos] Setup" from the Main Menu. When I run "sudo wasta-logos-setup" in Terminal on Ubuntu 20.10 I see: wasta-logos-setup started as root user. No processing done. Exiting....
for those taking the conservative route waiting for 64-bit wine to be more stable, it seems like a good option to update to this "last of the 32-bit installers
I appreciate this, Rik. I am currently on Logos 9 64-bit AppImage, with no indexing or search features working. I'd love to revert, but I wonder how we can keep
The raw link for the v2.20 is: https://github.com/ferion11/LogosLinuxInstaller/releases/download/v2.20/fast_install_AppImageWine_and_Logos.sh
That runs. Thanks.

I'm getting the following error during a fresh install on Ubuntu 20.10. I have installed on this OS before without errors, but I see that the fast_install script was updated 2 days ago. "./fast_install_AppImageWine_and_Logos.sh" Returns: ./fast_install_AppImageWine_and_Logos.sh: line 6: syntax error near unexpected token `newline' ./fast_install_AppImageWine_and_Logos

I am in the same position as Rob and Nick. Indexer runs, but does not complete. I also have the clipboard issue discussed earlier. When I run "sudo ./Logos.sh wine64 regedit" I get: ======= Running wine64 only: ======= wine: '/home/USER/LogosBible_Linux_P/data/wine64_bottle' is not owned by you wineserver: /home/USER/LogosBible_Linux_P/data/wine64_bottle

Followed this procedure:
"ferion11/LogosLinuxInstaller" and changed in line 8 "LBS8" to "LBS9" and "8.17.0.0011" to "9.0.0.0168".
Returned this error: "ERROR: error downloading the file! WGET_RETURN: 8" How can I fix this?
-
Dominik, Did you do a fresh install with the latest installer in your Downloads folder? Mine updated from within the app, so if yours was a fresh install I will try that route and report back.

Logos 9 update applied automatically to my Logos 8 AppImage (Daniel's edition) on Ubuntu 18.04. It redownloaded all resources as well. Now my Logos is broken again - crashes on start. When I click "More Details" on the crash report the dialogue box disappears without showing any error reports. Any tips on how to get it running again? Also, what do we

I followed the AppImage video Daniel created and my new Logos install is now (drum roll please...) indexing! I also changed the icon to match the "stock" Logos icon that installs with the wasta-wine version. A huge thank you to everyone who continues to make this possible.
-
Hi Daniel, This is immensely helpful, and I appreciate all the work you have put in. The video works. I did not know I needed to install those two packages, and now the installer is up and running. One more question for the "wasta" experts: Assuming Daniel's script installs, how do we remove the wasta-wine version of Logos from the applications? I know

My indexing stopped working on Ubuntu 18.04. I had a working version of Logos, but it recently began crashing more often. I though perhaps an update would fix it, so I followed the instructions in the Google Doc regarding the update with the newest installer in my Downloads folder. The indexing program failed, so I tried deleting the contents of the

I have looked but can't find the folders mentioned. Where might they be?

Hi David, Thanks for your reply. I'm on ElementaryOS Hera (i.e. 18.04). I followed the instructions on the shared Google Doc in this thread for install. System has plenty of RAM, SSD, plus MX150 GPU. I would be tempted to just uninstall and reinstall, but I can't find instructions on how to do that either.

Thanks David, System is elementaryOS Hera (i.e. 18.04). Running on ASUS Zenbook 2-in-1 with MX150 GPU. I followed the shared Google Doc in this forum for install. I would be tempted to uninstall and reinstall, but I don't really know how to to that either!

Logos was working perfectly until today. I lost some resources I had access to as a student, purchased a collection, and began the download. Closed the program mid-download. Now on start it begins to open the program, but shows an error and won't finish startup. Error details: "Unhandled exception: page fault on execute access to 0x00000000 in 32-bit
