Sorry. I was replying to JT (alabama24)'s post. Opening it up from the layout is what I was doing before. Opening from the library works and opened today's date.
-
I'm sorry to be so late replying. I had a minor family emergency. Opening up as you suggested worked. Thank you.

I have had the MacArthur Daily Reading, Strength for Today for a bit now. However, when I open it, it doesn't go to today. Is there a way to make it open to today's reading when I open it?

I'm right there with you on this. I've converted many of the magazines I read to digital format for one reason and that is so that I will always have them at hand when I want to read or reread and article without having to search for the paper copy.

As usual, MS announced Windows 11 with their usual vague language. "Faster", "more productivity", "better", without any specifics. Because of this, I always wait until after the first major update to the OS before installing it. And even then, with caution.

In the Factbook listing for Increase Mather, it states " Increase Mather was a Puritan minister in the early history of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, involved in the government and Harvard College. He took part in the Salem with trials happening during his lifetime." No biggie but I thought you might like to know.

The only way I can get Logos 9 to successfully update is to right-click on the Logos icon and select "Run as Administrator", and the software updates just fine. Afterwards, I exit the software and reload the normal way. I have done everything I can to find why I have to do that but have no idea why. It was suggested that it is a permissions problem

Ah, okay. I didn't know that. Thank you.

It looks like a good collection for a layman like me. Thanks for the heads up. On order. Any idea when its going to be be released?

So it does. Thank you for letting me know.

I don't think the log file attached and uploaded. I got an error message from the server.

I loaded Logos 9 this morning and saw that it was updating the software. Then I got an error message saying "The installation of Logos Bible Software did not succeed.". When this happened a couple of days ago with the previous update, I resolved it by right-clicking the icon and "Run as administrator". That didn't work with today's update. I have attached

Thank you.

Thank you. I will do that. Where are the logs located?

Thank you for the quick reply. It works when I right-click the icon and select "Run as Administrator".

I started up Logos 9 this morning and the updater thingy said it was updating the application with "Installing Application Update". But then it stopped and I get an error message saying "The installation of Logos Bible Software did not succeed."

I use Logos (former Wordsearch user) for personal Bible study and I love this new feature.

I use Logos for personal Bible study, having come over from Wordsearch. This is a great feature for users like me.

I don't know what its called but now nearly everything in my Bible has a faint blue underline. When I click on it I get a popup that explains more about the subject or person. I love that feature.
