This is how it is supposed to work - you can turn this off in Bibles by not enabling the Notes and Highlights (Corresponding) visual filter.
Thanks, Graham! Sure glad I put these types of highlights in a separate notebook so I can deselect it only. In other cases, I actually WANT the corresponding notes and highlights
-
Screenshot 1 shows that I created a highlight of Ps 32:8 in my Amplified Bible. After that, I wanted to ONLY highlight Ps 32:8 in the NLT, not any other Bibles. And you see from my screenshot 2 that the note shows the highlight with the NLT designation. But then Logos is also highlighting the same verse in ESV and the NIV. That's not what I want. Turns
Whenever I finish a book, I tag it "Read Completed."
Thanks for the suggestion, Ronald. I considered tagging my books read in the way you described, but it would mess up my tagging system because I categorize each resource in Logos AND I only want ONE tag per resource. But Dave and Andrew explained how to use the
Use the search button just to the right of where it says "Filters" and type your tag.
Dave explained the same thing, too. Got it! Thanks, Andrew!
The Find box under Filters can be used to find an entry in the sidebar e.g. a Tag value that is hidden (click the Search icon to reveal the Find box).
That's what I was looking for. Works great! Thanks, Dave!
In the search panel, perform a basic search in Your Documents. Search for: mytag:"Books Read"
That works, and I can use this method for now, but I had hoped to find a way to search for the notes WITHIN the Notes Tool. Oh well...if that doesn't exist, I just need to get busy reading more books so that the "Books Read" facet

While reading a book in Logos, I create a note so I can put my highlights and insights there. Once I've read the book, I tag it with "Books Read." Right now, I don't have that many tagged "Books Read" so lots of other tags are listed above this tag to the point that I have to click the "more" button under the Tags filter so I can even see it. Is there
Are you sure the Visual Filter is set to show "Corresponding Selection" in all those bibles?
That's what I was missing. No. I didn't. Thanks, NB! I'm signed up to watch a Morris Proctor webinar TODAY on visual filters. I'm sure he will cover this as I'm not clear on what to use for what. Right now, I have it set to show

I've been reading Mark Ward's Ten Ways to Improve Your Bible Study with Digital Tools , and in it, he talks about clicking on an English word in a Bible version and Logos highlighting the corresponding English word (from the lemma) in whatever other translations you have open. In the screenshot below, see that I have four Bibles, all linked to "A".
This is a known problem caused by the latest version of the Bible Book Guide dataset. Unfortunately, no one is in the office at the moment to deal with the issue. The Bible Book Guide section in Factbook does not populate for the Book of Psalms. All it does is show that it's "thinking" (working on it) even after several minutes (more than five). Anyone else having this problem? If not, how do I reach tech support? I've not ever had to contact them.
-
How did you populate from Factbook?
With only my Notes panel, the ESV, and the Factbook open to the lemma (in this case, קוה 1), as long as the lemma is active, if I create a new note from within Notes (not from Factbook), or add anchor to an existing note, it anchors the active lemma. And when I then click it, it opens
Please explain/show lemmas "anchored differently".
I don't even know. And when I tried to recreate the anchors of the lemmas (eg. using simple copy and paste from a context menu), that didn't work. These were a couple of notes that I had created several months ago before I started working with Bible Word Study. I changed

I just did another test and Reference/Lemma populates from Factbook for the lemma, too. But when I click the lemma anchor from the note, it opens the BWS tool, not Factbook. Not a problem; again, just curious as to how this note filtering aspect is populated/updated because I want to use it as a way to quickly find all of my notes for Greek and Hebrew
-
Is it true that the only way the Note filtering aspect of Lemma under Reference is to anchor the lemma to a Bible Word Study for that lemma? I had a couple of notes that had lemmas anchored differently, but they were not showing up under the Reference/Lemma filtering aspects. But once I anchored them to a BWS, then they were included. Just curious about
Provided the footnotes are correctly formatted in Word as footnotes (and not just look like those when printed), just build the PB and they'll be Logos footnotes.
When I saw this I was hopeful that the footnotes were formatted correctly. I have a Word document that has a number of footnotes that show up at the end of most of its 12 pages. I'd love to create a personal book from this document in Logos. How can I do this? TIA!
