  • Re: Ray Ortlund’s Notes on the Bible

Brad: It's really your choice. I put them both into one PB, but as a part of my testing them, I also compiled them individually and that would work, too. It is really up to you. The title of Week 39 is repeated (Zech 10-14 and Malachi in the OT file and Matthew 1-15 in the NT file) if you compile them into one book. But that's what I chose to do anyway

Liam et.al-- I am not sure whether to put it here or in a new thread, but here is Ortlund's Old Testament material. I have followed the continuation of using the weeks as the major headers and the rest of the headings all as secondary headings because that is how it appears in the originals. It is a bit more confusing that way than arranging it solely

Liam: FWIW: Here is the New Testament. (Weeks 39-49) The Old Testament would take quite a bit longer (Weeks 1-38) 4035.JOURNEY THROUGH THE BIBLE 2016-New Testament.docx

Tom: I presume that you have permission from David Chilton (or more likely Dominion Press) to put this (and other GaryNorth, com materials) into Word/Logos format? Just because a book is free to download and read on the internet does not mean that we are free to put it in a different format and distribute on other sites without permission. The copyright

Richard: Thanks. But is there a reason why it has only shown up in Logos 8? The problem may have been around, but it is totally new to me. Admittedly I skipped Logos 7 (not a decision I have ever regretted) and upgraded from Logos 6 to 8, but 2011 seems before Logos 7 was released (Aug. 2016 as I recall...with help from Google).Looks like the problem

  • Recurring compilation problem

This is a recurring problem for me. Whenever I need to recompile a resource (which used to generally go smoothly), it will now not compile. I get this message: [Error] Error while building book: Could not remove existing resource. Please close all other open panels and try again. Closing all the other panels makes no difference. Recompilation is often

  • Re: Index of Bible Studies

Thank you so much for your work on this. The file produced from the .exe file will make this resource much more usable. I had, however, two compilation problems: 1. [Error] Font 'Calibri Light' is not a valid font for use in resources. 2. [Warning] Unknown data type in use: topic+topics The font problem is easy to fix. (or seemed to be). I searched

  • Help with Another Error problem

I'm not sure whether this is the problem that Bruce Denning asked about earlier in this forum, but I don't think it is. Ever since upgrading to Logos 8, whenever I try to re-compile a book I get an error message.(The error message I get is pasted below). Closing all of the open panels on my desktop does NOT make any difference. The only way to recompile

  • Re: What are the copyright rules?

I believe you would need express (read: written) permission to do so. As the author he holds copyright and it cannot be reproduced without his permission. If he is deceased, permission would either need to come from his heirs or wait until something like 75 years after his death.

  • Re: reuse personal books in case of computer formatting

OK. I'm getting confused. I have quite few PBs and I have regularly uploaded them to Logos for quite a while. It is not at all uncommon for me to edit a book and recompile it and then upload the recompiled version. My understanding was that it overrode the old version on the Logos server and replaced it with my new one. I have never had an old copy

  • Re: Manage which resources are downloaded to computer

Mattillo-But I'm pretty sure that hiding them doesn't remove them from your hard drive, this defeating the purpose of the question. I actually think there are some ways--I had some Perseus resources removed a few years back but you are very limited in your ability to do that and I believe I had to get tech support involved to do it
