• Re: THEMELIOS UPDATE: April 2009 - April 2011 (7 issues)

I'm very happy to see these issues being made available in Logos. But please note that these issues and others are available for free in three other formats (html, iPaper, and pdf) on the Gospel Coalition website. http://www.thegospelcoalition.org/publications I guess the retail price of $70 must refer to the cost of putting them into Logos.

  • Re: March Madness - a strategy?

Yes, I agree it would be good to be more strategic this time. One important factor to consider when voting is the price. A 75% discount on a $70 book is a lot more than the same discount on a $13 book (about $42). While there are many other factors to consider besides price, all things being equal it's better to vote for a more expensive book. Below

Thanks a lot for posting about these deals, Mark. I would have missed out as I don't twitter. It looks like there's some good bargains to be had.
Regarding Zondervan's most recent releases, has anyone else noticed that these collections sell today for the same price as when they were offered earlier in pre-pub?
Yes, I noticed this and raised it in an earlier post . I also assumed that the Pre-Pub sets would be offered at a discount and like you I would have waited

  • No discount on PrePub Zondervan Bundles

There doesn't appear to be any discount on the Zondervan collections that were recently shipped on the PrePub program. I'm aware that in the past, Zondervan PrePubs didn't attract a discount, but I naively assumed that the savings indicated on the PrePub pages would apply this time. If I'd had known that there would be no discount, I'd probably have

  • 50% off N.T. Wright's Resurrection for Facebook users

Logos is offering a 50% discount on N.T. Wright's Resurrection of the Son of God for one day only. See the Logos page on Facebook for more information. It seems like a great deal if you don't already have it.

Dear John Piper, Congratulations on turning 65! I pray that God will give you many more years of fruitful ministry. I owe an incalculable debt to you. I started reading your books in earnest on the subway in Tokyo. They transformed those trips on crowded trains into delightful journeys into the truth of God's word. Also, your sermons on the Internet

  • Re: Can one of my Logos brothers or sisters recommend a product to answer the question: What happens to believers when they die?"

Edwin Lutzer's book " One minute after you die " is great for evangelistic purposes. It presents the Bible teaching on what happens after death in a very readable form. Unfortunately, you'll have to purchase the Erwin Lutzer collection if you want it in Logos. The collection was a Facebook special in December, but it seems to have been replaced by the

I've been using " For the Love of God " for about two years now. I like the M'Cheyne Bible reading plan. If four chapters a day is too ambitious, you can always read two chapters per day for two years. Don Carson's comments are always insightful. One thing that he emphasizes is how themes are progressively revealed in the Bible. All three books are

I'm very interested in the Introductions, Biblical theology, and Hermeneutics Collections, but I might wait until they're offered as single volumes. Does anyone know if the discounts shown are relative to the prices that will be charged after they come off PrePub? I know that in the past some Zondervan books were not offered at discount on PrePub because

The Aussie dollar has reached new heights. For the first time ever, prices for Logos products are lower in Australian dollars than in US dollars. There's never been a better time for Aussies to invest in Logos books and packages!

Maybe these two books have been separated from their sets in preparation for Logos' 12 Days of Christmas. I noticed that the March Madness sale contained many single volumes from sets. I might be wrong, but I'd advise holding off for a few months before purchasing them just in case.

  • It's official: PrePubs has gone into overdrive!!

After averaging about one PrePub per month since the beginning of this year, I woke up this morning to find that I've have 16 PrePubs that are due to ship in October! There's a total of 38 due to ship next month. I think it's fair to say that the drought has finally broken! It's great timing for those of us living outside of the US with the low US dollar

I'm currently reading through Reymond's New Systematic Theology using a six-month reading plan (it works out to about five pages per day). I find that Logos really comes into it's own for reading books containing lots of references to the Bible. I used to find it very time-consuming to look all the references. Now, I just hover over references with
