Opening a layout takes a lot of memory. No surprise in that, but closing the layout does not recover memory. Only closing Logos will. Is there a way to recover the memory without closing Logos down? Bayard Bastedo

This idea is really neat. Cheap, too, compared to a monitor. Escaping Windows 7, I'm about to get a new computer, probably a new screen too. So how does one hook them together? Simply an HDMI cable? Thanks in advance, Bayard Bastedo

5518.clr.zip There is a "cir_rundown.zip" file too, but I seem to be able to insert only one at a time. Bayard Bastedo

This may sound like it's not Logos' department, and maybe it isn't. But the trouble started with Logos 6. I'm running Windows 7, kept up to date.Working in a saved desktop, I switched from one commentary to another. At that point, before the new comm. came up, the machine froze. It has stayed prone to freeze ever since. The hard drive works like mad

M. J., thank you! I knew some but not all of what you said. Point #1 was worth the price of admission! Bayard Bastedo

Yep, happens to me too. Bayard Bastedo

I'd like to recommend subscribing to the magazine Bible and Spade. It is a wonderful forum for professional archeologists to harmonize ancient evidence with the Bible. They've brought out a number of archeological insights that I haven't seen anywhere else -- speaking as a layman. Bayard Bastedo

It's not Windows 7. I have Win 7 64-bit, no problems. It's not Windows 7. Bayard Bastedo

Is it possible to use Logos Bible Atlas in Windows 7? How might I install it?

I understand hyperlinking by capitalizing the first letter of a Bible book title and leaving a space after the title. But this doesn't work with a book like 2 Kings. Can I link such "numbered" titles to turn blue and show their texts automatically?

Derek. Morris Proctor shows a way to do this in a recent blog. Bayard Bastedo

I would be interested in this simply to read books; highlights are an unnecessary luxury here. I might even buy more books to read because I don't like to read books on a desktop computer but do like the Kindle Paperwhite. Bayard Bastedo

Est-ce qu'il y a un dictionnaire francais en Logos? Does Logos have available a French dictionary the way it has Webster's? Bayard Bastedo

Consider Eli, the High Priest of 1 Samuel, who enjoyed eating the sacrifices that his sons had wickedly gathered and prepared. And Alexander Whyte thought Scripture revealed that the patriarch Isaac had fallen prey to gluttony. I think perhaps gluttony, while not labelled specifically,as a sin, is a subset of idolatry. Norman, Logos 4 is already remarkable, and its great potential for growth & development make it a fine choice. I do have a warning, though, which I haven't seen mentioned in other posts: do have BROADBAND. Logos 4 uses the Web constantly; many of the downloads needed, esp. at startup, would take days on dialup. Oh, and as to instruction, there's some

Melissa, The latest download (updates, Harvard Classics) seems to have resolved whatever was going on. The yellow bar on the Search page is gone. Thanks for attending to the problem. Bayard

Melissa, Realizing that I had zeros in the dimensions boxes instead of nothing, I'll resend my indexer file in case the first send fouled up. Bayard Bastedo

Melissa, I finally realized that the indexer file is cumulative, hence has my recent woes engraved in it. Thank you for your help, and here's the file. Bayard Bastedo 1884.Logos4Indexer.log
