Seems fine now...
-
OK thanks.

I will try these steps and let you know. It doesn't happen all the time and I am not sure of the repro steps so it might be a few days before I know one way or another.

OK thanks Andrew.

Hi all I'm a bit puzzled by the results that I get when searching for some biblical books in Factbook, for instance if I run a search for Hebrews or Gospels I get results which include the biblical books. However when I search for 1 Thessalonians I get a very odd selection. It includes seven links to short stubs about commentaries and no link a main

Hi there I am using Logos on a Android device and sometimes come across a problem whereby text looked up in one of the pop up windows gets stuck on the top of the app and cannot be removed. Illustrated below: I am not sure if this is a known bug or a new one, but it is an irritant as it happens quite frequently. Has anyone else come across it? thanks
Given the constraints in which we are working this might provide a reasonable solution until (and if) the program is altered to meet your requirements.
thanks again for the reply Mike, I'd hope that this was more than just my requirement! Keeping the text central ought to be what the software strives to do! [quote

Thanks Rick
One thing I've done in the past as an attempted work-around to your problem, is to have two Bible tabs (each in it's own pane/panel) open to the desired pericope but only have one of them linked to the commentary. That way if I scroll the Bible in the linked Bible tab, the commentary will follow--but if I scroll the commentary
Have I misunderstood the question?
Yes I think so. Imagine that you want to Study John 1:1-6, you put this on the screen so you can easily view the whole passage in one go. This is important because as you are studying individual verses you want to be able to view the whole too. Now as you move through commentary,

I've added this to Feedbear if anyone feels minded to support it: https://logos.feedbear.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/linked-commentaries-should-follow-bible-text

Would you consider this pretty fundamental challenge with making the text you are studying central in the application? https://community.logos.com/forums/p/195814/1135723.aspx#1135723

Hi If I run a search for prophet in the Factbook it pulls up as expected and in this case also includes reference to, what I presume is, another article or factbook entry "prophets and prophecy" However this link is not enabled, not does it appear below in the factbook entry. In addition running a search in the factbook for this, produces no entry of
This request is actually on our list of things we are interested in implementing. For now though, as indicated, there is no uninitialized state. I don't have a timeline for when we will get to this.
Given that it doesn't do this currently it would be nice, if when opening the factbook, the focus was

FWIW this is already being discussed over here: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/196535.aspx

Yes, thank you
The request has been made and is being discussed / voted on at the new Faithlife feedback site - https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/import-third-party-sermon-documents-into-sermon-manager I recommend you add your vote to it there.
Thanks for highlighting it. I already voted for it a couple
Hopefully someone from Faithlife will see and respond to this thread shortly. Alternatively you could contact Customer Services and report the issue. Contact details are at https://www.logos.com/contact
Hopefully, although it seems hit and miss. So far since Logos 9 was launched I've reported 8 problems / bugs
You may need to reword this as a request for them to move the date back to allow for historical sermons ... a few decades back seems more reasonable.
OK thanks. It seems that the Sermon Manager was designed with forward planning more in mind that historical record. For instance in addition to this there is no facility
This is a known issue that we plan to address in future updates. When encountering this issue you should find that viewing in landscape mode usually improves or fixes it.
OK thanks, unfortunately moving into landscape mode doesn't resolve it, in this case.
