Interesting. I checked BDAG again and it now shows that the search items are available. Previously, when I clicked on Resource Information (the "i" icon" at the top right), the Search Fields were empty. Now, I see several items listed, including surface, footnote, lemma, formeq, transeq, etc. Also, I just found in the Wiki: http://wiki.logos.com/BDAG_Search

  • How do you auto-update?

Well, I know Logos 4 checks this every time you launch it, unless you have update turned off. How do you run the auto-update script? I downloaded an auto-update file (*.lbxupd) for BDAG but have no idea what to do next. Perhaps I don't understand the general process of Logos update. For instance, if there is a new version (or a new volume of resource

Hi Pam, I appreciate your feedback. I also noted the resources on Mounce's website. I wish it was available in Logos format. David
The resource type is a part of the metadata that describes the resources. Errors in the metadata for specific resources can be reported to Logos, as has been done on this wiki page: http://wiki.logos.com/Metadata_correction_proposals I see from my Library that the Apologetics Study Bible is the one that's wrong: [/quote

  • Re: Books on your shelf

Thanks for your inputs Dan and Thomas. I don't have many books that Logos has replaced, but I think it is a great idea to give to local ministries or to organizations such as the one Thomas mentioned. In the past, I have given my Bibles and reference books to a local church or to the Salvation Army. David

  • Library Resource Categories

Logos software automatically organizes resources in categories (e.g. Bible, Bible Commentary, Grammar, etc.). After I had upgraded my base package, I see that I now have two categories of the same name - Bible.Notes and bible.notes. My questions are: how do you re-categorize library resources? Can you delete and add new categories? I think some of my

I'm thinking of getting Mounce's Basics of Biblical Greek from Amazon. Anyone has experience with this learning book? Unfortunately, this book is not available for Logos. thanks, David

Hello everyone, For those who use Logos most, if not all, the time in your research and study, what did you do with the print versions of your digital resources? David

Melissa, Got a question: Will Logos download both my original base package and the one I had recently updated ? Or, will it only download my original base package? thanks, David

Melissa, I deleted the folder with today's date, located in the ...\HomePage folder. Logos still crashes and the error remains the same. David

  • Re: Logos 4.0d SR-1 Crash During Start-Up

Thanks for checking Mark. Update: I repeated only a portion of Method 2 and, without file transfers, Logos launches OK. I sign in and no crashes. Continuing with Method 2, I transfer all the files from my desktop to my notebook, to the specified locations, and when I launch Logos, it crashes. The error is the same. As before, I can launch Logos when

Hi Melissa, Sorry about this...I have already uninstalled from my notebook. It is very possible that I had skipped this step - signing in - as mentioned in Method 2 of the Wiki instruction. "Quick Installation onto multiple computers." At this moment, I am repeating Method 2 to see if Logos will work this time. I'll update this posting soon... David

Hi Mark, I tried running it as Admin, but it crashes when I maximize the software window. When I launch it, it tries to display the Logos informatics but fails. Actually, Logos should open normally without specifying Admin. As stated, I had no problems running Logos 4d SR-1 on my notebook, before I upgraded the base package and migrated the files to

  • Logos 4.0d SR-1 Crash During Start-Up

Hello, I was running Logos 4d SR-1 on my notebook computer without any issues. I had to uninstall the software to move it to a different location on my hard drive. My notebook is running Win 7 Pro 32-bit, all patches up-to-date. I am using it now to type this report. I also upgraded my Logos 4 base package on another computer (a desktop running Win
The Great Books are still great, even though surpassed by the Bible. The wonderful thing is that reading them as a Christian, you can see so much more in them than without that background. So many of those great authors were utterly steeped in Scripture, and we have a leg up on others who don't know the Word of God when we
Yes! In fact I was going to ask you the same thing because of your email address. I was going to make a comment in this reply about not having to ask what kind of film you use, but just as I responded to this post of yours you must have done what I was also going to recommend and changed your forum display name. I use a Canon

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE I recently returned to studying the scriptures. I am interested in biblical history, apologetics, and how the text of the Bible was preserved, translated, and interpreted from different viewpoints. In addition, I think it is important to know not only what we believe, but why. Besides, it is fruitful to

Rosie, I didn't even think about checking iTunes resources for free lessons. Your link to DTS lessons on iTunes would suffice for now. Again, thanks for pointing me to these free resources. Concerning lexicons, I would love to get the BDAG/HALOT combo, but it's out of my price range at this time. Maybe later. When I was a kid, I was very interested
