• CP: Thucydides' History of the Peloponnesian War

The definitive account of the second Peloponnesian War is found in the writings of 5th century B.C. Greek historian Thucydides . You can read an overview of his work and place your bid on the Logos CP page for History of the Peloponnesian War . Granted, Thucydides is not a household name, unlike Aristotle , Plato , and Socrates . Nonetheless, Thucydides

We know very little about the person, Titus Lucretius Carus , but his unique poem On the Nature of Things ( De Rerum Natura ) is very well known and available at Logos Community Pricing . Regarding the CP of Herodotus' The Persian Wars (8 Vols) , the following are snippets of introductory material to Herodotus from the editors of The Great Books of the Western World, The Franklin Library Edition: "Herodotus is readable as few historians have ever been. ‘You see how he takes your spirit with him through the place, and turns hearing into
I just wish that all of the references didn't disappear to do it
I agree that would be nice. The only workaround I can think of right now is to: 1. Select the Text only check box 2. Select two or more Columns Edit: Note the superscripts are missing from the biblical text. The combination will give you two columns
Other ones that are missing it: Archaeology Odyssey, Bible Review, Biblical Archaeologist, and Discipleship Journal. All of these have the cover images inside the resource, but not in the metadata. Doesn't seem to be too much to ask to make them available in metadata so they show up in our Library. Please? Good question seen on the Home Page. What is the answer? Instead of seeing a lost sheep, I get that 404 error message. How about a graphic showing the catacombs or something? David

  • How to use different bibles for books in the OT and NT

We know Logos allows us to prioritize one top bible to link all verse references in the software to it. What If you use more than one English (or Greek, Hebrew, Latin) bible? For example, I most often use NLT for Old Testament and NIV for New Testament. In Logos, you can not only specify which bible to use but also specify the book or range of books

It lived in a bookshelf right near the dinner table, and whenever anything came up that required looking in an authoritative source, out would come the encyclopedia
