It sounds - from your description - that this is related to the "Link to Open Panels" feature
Thanks, Graham! Deselecting the "Link to Open Panels" check box solved the problem. I appreciate your help!
Don't quite understand this as the free L6 engine isn't being made available until Feb 2015.
Actually, it was made available, briefly, after Logos 6 came online. I followed the link(s) from Logos' home page, clicked on the download button... and, as they say, the rest is history. Apparently it was an error on Logos

  • My copy of Logos has a bad rash!

Note: I’m posting this on both Logos 5 and Logos 6 forums since it happens with both versions. (Had Logos 5...downloaded the free Logos 6 engine right after it came out...it got to running slower and slower with each update...went back to Logos 5.) My copy of Logos has a bad rash. For some reason it arbitrarily (AFAICT) highlights numbers in red. Not
Are you sure about that?
No, just my anecdotal (and brief) experience. My default layout in Logos opens up with following resources active (in tabs). KJV, Wordstudy KJV, ESL, Complete WS Dictionary NT, Complete WS Dictionary OT, Swanson's Dict. of Biblical Langs. NT, Vine's Complete, Swanson's Dict. of Biblical
Yes, however, this functions differently than the Logos Send to Kindle. The L6 Send to Kindle has resources that are already formatted correctly for the Kindle and Amazon doesn't have to "guess" the right formatting.
You're absolutely right, David, which is why I start out by saying that "Send to Kindle" is a "slick

  • FYI: Send almost anything to Kindle from Logos

Logos’ new “Send to Kindle” feature is slick! You can send a Logos resource to your Kindle device and it arrives beautifully formatted as a “real” Kindle “book.” Unfortunately, not all Logos resources allow this (and, indeed, for many multi-volume sets it would probably be impractical). Many Logos users may not be aware, however, that they can actually

  • Re: What Version Is Vine's Keyed to? How to Change?

In the past, I, too, had difficulty locating the KJV word in Vine’s. Here’s how I solved it: 1) Link Vine’s to Strong's Enhanced Lexicon. 2) Right click on the target word in the KJV Bible and open it in Strong’s. 3) Since Vine’s is linked to Strong’s it will open to the section in Vine’s where the original language word is located. Note: The location

  • Re: Indexing - What Will This do to the Life of SSD's?

I've been using Logos 5 on a 256 GB SSD for about 6 months now. Logos is one of the reasons that I wanted the SSD. It's not exactly a fast application on the Mac... cough, cough... A couple of points: 1. Indexing. Is it Logos or your computer (e.g. Spotlight on the Mac) that is indexing all of the time. Logos shouldn't index ALL of the time (mine doesn

Found it! A recently installed firewall-ish background app called "Hands Off!" uses the Command-Option-f key combo by default for one of its features. I changed it to something else and now everything is copasetic.

Thanks for taking the time to check for me. Looks like it's on my end. Apparently I've got some macro or script program intercepting that key combo. (I just discovered that it won't work in MS Word either.) I'll have to track it down. Again, thanks! Larry

  • Float Window key binding broken on Mac?

Can someone using the latest iteration of Logos 5 on the Mac please verify this for me? I can no longer get Command-Option-f to float a resource panel (i.e.. turn it into a stand-alone window) on my Mac using the latest Logos 5. (Using the pop-up menu still works.) FWIW, the Command-Option-Shift-f key combo does still work to dock a floating window

Same here, after iOS 5 update. Can't sign in with User Name and Password. However, trying to "sign up" (i.e.. create a new account) with said User Name and Password tells me that the account already exists. Logos on the iPad is completely useless for me after the iOS5 update!

"Libronix for Mac is inferior in nearly every way to Logos 4—I see no reason to retain it. In fact, Logos 4 is even better at handling older books than Libronix is!" Mostly, but not always. Take for instance the "Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary". It contains some gorgeous charts and maps. The Libronix file weighs in at 374.1 MB while the Logos 4

  • Need Scholarly Advice

Hi to all, I own the Leader's library and have an "itch" to upgrade to the Scholar's library. My price would be about $275. A large part of what I would be gaining over what I already have would be "Original Language" books and tools. I only have a 4 year bible college degree and do not have a woking knowledge of Greek and Hebrew--so I'm definitely

  • Logos need to focus! ;)

Let me begin by saying that I’m excited about the development of Logos 4 for the Mac. I’ve used Logos since 1996 (when it was Libronix 2.0) and up until the Mac version came out, have always had to use it in a virtual PC environment. I’ve upgraded over the years, purchasing the Pastor’s package in Libronix X, then buying Libronix 1.x for the mac when
