I'm in ... . Hopefully there will be more to come. Would especially welcome works by Thomas Keating (Open Mind Open Heart , The Mystery of Christ, and Invitation to Love) Keating is Cistercian priest/monk who promotes meditation via centering prayer (along with Basil Pennington). which is based on the ancient practice of Lectio Divina. It is a natural

  • Liturgy of the hours

Was wondering what exactly what this meant? "This edition of the Liturgy of the Hours is without the official biblical texts for liturgical use. View the biblical text in any translation in your library or study along with the official Nova Vulgate ." I am thinking it means that it is like the lectionary ... in that it draws in the text from the preferred

  • Logos 5 - Windows 8 - Microsoft Surface Pro Touchscreen

I have been a bit disappointed with how Logos 5 performs on the Surface pro touchscreen tablet ... none of the gestures seem to work. On the home page I can't swipe to get to another page ... must hit the next page button at bottom of the page with my finger. I can't spread my fingers to enlarge the text ... like I can on this forum ... I thought Logos

Although I perfer the greek and hebrew (don't understand either but that is the origional language) and my latin is limited to 2 years in high school (all gaul is devided into 3 parts from fresman and sophmore years at a Jesuit HS) and prior alterboy experience, it would be nice to have Verbum expand the latin capabilities. It would help me better understand

  • Re: What about choosing to "upgrade" to a Catholic Base Package?

Thanks John ... I didn't notice a change, but it may be in books already owned. the $800 price to "upgrade" isn't bad considering the NIV commentary is almost that much ... which is the attraction for me to go with that package ... but not for now.

I upgraded from Logos 4 platinum to capstone. My discount was a bit better through the salesman I talked with. I also got rid of some pre pubs that were ihncluded with capstone and that saved me a bit and it was really nice to have the Logos sales rep take care of deleteing them from my pre pub orders to prevent duplication. So Kucos to the rep - catholic

  • Upgrades Verbum / Logos 5

I upgraded from Logos 4 platinum to Verbum Capstone. After the upgrade ... I went back to the Logos 5 upgrade page. The page still said I was trying to upgrade from Scholar’s Library: Platinum (JG) ... Still same price to upgrade to 5 platinum ...my upgrade to Verbum Capstone was not recognized (not that I was looking to spend more money). Shouldn't

  • Re: lectionary

Hey ... are my eyes deceiving me or did we get an update to the Catholic Lectionary (date 7-28-11) that now includes the daily as well as Sunday readings? Seems like it! Thanks to MJ and all who helped to bring this to fruition! Steve
