  • Re: Very poor search outcome on Logos 8

Hello, The issue is likely that your searched phrase is incorrectly quoted. You should search for : "Show me a church's songs and I'll show you their theology" (notice the quotes enclose the whole phrase) and not : "Show me a church's songs" and I'll show you their theology (notice the quotes don't enclose the whole phrase) as shown in your screenshot

  • Re: Search all occurences where God speaks "I am with you"

Hello Graham, Many thanks! Interestingly, the phrase does appear to be split. The search {Speaker <Person God>} INTERSECTS "I am with you" does return 13 verses, each having only one instance of "I am with you". However, search returns 21 results in 13 verses, and you can see from the seach output that this is due to the multiple splits of the

Hello Bradley, Many thanks! Yes, I would intuitively expect directly reported speech to be tagged with its original Speaker as well. Kind Regards, Thierry

  • Re: Search all occurences where God speaks "I am with you"

Hello Graham, Many thanks for your answer ! What I find a bit inconsistent is that if I search only for the phrase "I am with you", the phrase is not split in parts and multiple hits per verse. However when I add the reference to the Speaker, then the phrase is split in parts and multiple results per verse are returned. I guess this is due to the mechanics

  • Search all occurences where God speaks "I am with you"

Hello, I wanted to search for all occurrences where God speaks "I am with you". So I opened Bible search and entered the following query : {Speaker <Person God>} INTERSECTS "I am with you". Which returned 21 results in 13 verses. Questions : 1. Why is the phrase "I am with you" split and returned as 2 separate results in E.g. Gen. 26:24, Gen.

  • BUG: Tabs not refreshed correctly on OS X after closing/reopening Logos main window

Hello, Since a few versions of Logos, I noticed that tabs are not refreshed correctly when closing/restoring the window, or moving to fullscreen and back on OSX. I’ve captured and attached a screenshot that shows the issue. 1. This is the initial state, tabs are displayed correctly. 2. Close this window (red button), then reopen by clicking on Logos

  • Re: BUG: layouts list appears duplicated

There you go. I've done some cleanup so that duplicated layouts appear on one screenshot. You can see how the Now and Today's snapshots are duplicated in the list. Deleting any entry removes both entries. if you have many entries in your layouts, you'll probably not notice that they are duplicated unless you scroll down enough. 0572.Logos Capture.tiff

  • BUG: layouts list appears duplicated

My list of layouts appears duplicated in Logos 5 (just a list of snapshots, I have no named layouts). The list is correctly displayed once in the menu, then strangely the whole list appears a second time below the initial list. Seems to be a display bug.

Same feeling on my side. With the time sync has been broken, I would expect the decency not to widely advertise this feature until it has been fixed and is reliable. Could also trigger some extra motivation, who knows... ;-)

  • Re: Bible Reading Plan

Quickest way to go to your reading plan is to drag and drop its tab into the Logos toolbar, at the right of the command field. This will dock an icon for it, as you can do for any other open book or resource. From now on, simply click on that icon and the reading plan magically opens. ;-)

  • Re: BUG: Cmd+C sometimes doesn't work (B8)

Interesting. On my side I had observed that clicking in the panel first, before making the selection, would always lead to Cmd-C properly copying the selection. That this was a proper workaround. Others rely on right-click then copy in menu, which they attributed to the same effect : a click in the resource that properly sets the focus prior to selection
