That is very reassuring if there's a backup out there. I know there's the Time Machine on the Mac too. Can that db file be opened and/or exported to another file type. I realize that's way techie, but I used to do database work.

  • Re: Making notes

I'm totally new to this. If I add notes to Logos, where are they stored? I'm assuming there's a data file in the Application Support folder for this. I'd hate to have an installation go south or need to be reinstalled on a different machine and lose my notes.

  • Re: Currently using Libronix, should I upgrade to L4 for Mac?

I'm still evaluating it myself, but I have to say it's so awfully cool, it's really a no-brainer as far as being worth an upgrade. It's not if for me, but when.

  • Re: Cosmetic Bug

I had my default at 120% for my viewing ease so that would do it. Maybe needs a conditional statement so the large fonts don't blow out when us older disciples use it.

It's the panel next to the preferred bible choice: the one used for the library book display. It doesn't happen with all books, some have short titles and/or smaller fonts; but it does with a number of them. My guess is that some setting for the fonts to make them display uniformly would be the right way to do this.

  • Cosmetic Bug

This has happened at least back to Beta 3 and it's pretty minor. At the top of the Logos Opening Window, some of the Library book title/author info seem to be truncated at the bottom of their display. It seems to be that their fonts aren't appropriate to the window space allotted. Maybe the easiest thing to do is make the top band of the display wider

  • Re: 2-week beta schedule no longer?

Well 7 is biblical and enough sounds like Dayenu. So it means we probably just need to let these guys go code.

Roughly how many beta cycles are we looking at Cameron? I want to make sure I have my end of things in place--I want to do my Snow Leopard update before then.

I managed to sign in ok last night (even saw a successful login indication), and it still seems fine now without logging out. Will keep this monitored, but I will tentatively ok it . I absolutely love how it syncs with one's home program. I am very impressed.

Sounds like I will need to see about going for Snow Leopard before making the plunge. I don't find Logos 4 slow really, but it seems like it uses more resources.

  • Logos 4 Leopard/Snow

I've got the Beta running on Leopard with 2GB on my Mini. I realize that's probably marginal for RAM. Does Logos 4 run much faster on Snow since I can't put anymore RAM on this machine?

  • Re: Biblia Crashes Opera 10.6 in Windows XP SP3

Well almost great it's crashing again Very weird. Looks like Opera on XP is out of the question for Biblia until this gets resolved. I sent a bug report off to Opera. It's something that seems to be conflicting on the server side during the log in based on that report.

I logged in yesterday and this seems to be working now. Not at all sure why or what but maybe it resolved via the latest Beta which is very cool. It's so neat to be able to access one's Logos materials on the web.

Bryan I was crashing again today, so I went all out and did a clean install of Opera in XP. Took everything out. It's still crashing but I also got a screen error: Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed

That's great! Software that remembers what you're doing is helpful to those of us who can't remember what we had for breakfast.

For some reason it stopped happening on my Mac with no workaround. So I'd probably just hunt it down on XP to see if you can reproduce the error. Unless I win Publisher's Clearing House, I expect to use XP until the computer dies.

Hi Bryan, I found a work around. Did a web search on Opera crashing and came up with an article on the use of fraud protection on Opera 10.6. I figure that I am not worried about fraud on Biblia , so I unchecked that preference and tried logging in to Biblia in XP. No crashing so far. YAY! I am guessing that there's something in your web site log in

  • Sync between resources

Bryan Since I'm being a nudge about other things: is it possible to sync resources? I've got MacArthur's Study Bible and it would be great if it would be in step with the bible text I've got open. In other words when I'm looking at Matthew 5 in my bible and open the Study Bible resource it would open to Matthew 5 as well. And as long as I'm asking,

Bryan The ESV loads along with 1 Timothy MacArthur Commentary. (In a non-crashing browser), I'm not sure why these would cause a crash versus other resources, but that's a possibility.
