  • Re: Get back Bibliothek der Kirchenväter and Evangelische Voksbibliothek

I sent them in an email from my gmail account. What wasn't totally clear to me was whether you would be able to download them or only view them. Let me know if it worked. If not I'll see what other options there are.

I'm trying to send them. They're taking quite a while to upload. They should be links to google.drive. David

There is a 10 year reading list, conflating the two editions of the set, that Britannica had published, at this web site: http://www.greatconversation.com/10-year-reading-plan . While we wait for MJ's list this may give an entrance into the study of the set.

  • Re: Strack and Billerbeck, Commentary on the New Testament from the Talmud and Midrash

Veli, I have ordered the German and English package in 2013, and have no German Strack and Billerbeck in my library, so no, it doesn't appear that you can get the German part of the package now and just wait for the English later.

  • Re: Win 8 Computer does not have Graeca II or Hebraica II fonts

I had some old documents that used the Graeca II and Hebraica II fonts. I installed the old Libronix program which included the ability to convert the fonts from Graeca and Hebraica to unicode fonts just so I could rescue the Greek and Hebrew in old documents like that. Not everything works, but that part of the program still worked.

I don't have the Second Edition of the Great Books, so I can't say what the answer would be for that edition, but the First Edition has some sections missing in the Summa Theologica. One example would be the whole treatise on Christology.

  • Re: Using Multiple Monitors

If I'm understanding you correctly, just click on the icon of the book at the top left corner of the tab to get the menu, look down the list, and click "float this panel". The book should then separate to form its own window which can then be dragged to the external monitor. To return it to its original position, or at least to the main program, just

  • Re: Preguntas?

  • Re: Do you like "smart" select?

I have the feature turned off in Logos. I often need to select a few words or phrases to copy. What makes that unworkable is that there is no way to back away from an automatically expended selection, as I do often in MS Word, where I can use the mouse to get back to where I was and select just the text I want, even only part of the word if that's what

  • Re: The most important Hebrew feature Faithlife (Lexham) could ever have

I think most beginning grammars will point out that qamets is a long a in open or accented syllables, and short o in unaccented closed (consonant vowel consonant) syllables. When the pointing was developed, one symbol was adopted for two different sounds, but that simple rule will tell you which pronunciation a word with qamets requires.

  • Re: language books in Spanish

I think the problem is not that there are no Spanish Bibles, but that putting in Spanish names for the Bible Books to visit a specific package doesn't work. It requires the English name of the book. For example, if I put Cantares 3:2 in as a book location, the site does not recognize it, but if I put Song in as a book name it will take me to Song of

  • Re: Value of BDF

BDF and BDAG are entirely different animals. Whereas BDAG is a lexicon (the B there is Bauer, a German lexicographer), BDF is a reference grammar (the B there is for Blass, a German expert on NT Grammar, especially its difference from classical Greek grammar).

  • Re: Multilanguage Support

I just tried it with a Spanish Bible. The Spanish text copied into the slide ok, but the reference was in English. This was able to be changed by editing the reference, but it would be much more helpful to have the tool automatically give the reference using the same language as the Bible (except perhaps if the quote was the Greek or Hebrew text).

I doubt many people will need this feature anymore, but a couple months ago I had to install Libronix on my Windows 8 machine (with only partial success) because I had found a Word doc file that I had made long ago with the Hebrew and Greek in the old non unicode fonts that Logos used at one time. Libronix had a handy tool to replace those obsolete
