  • Re: Uninstall Logos 4 after upgrading?

Thanks Patrick AND Jack :) Hazel does normally ask before it does a sweep, but I think I'm going to fully disable just in case due to the fact that I'm paranoid about losing something important. I appreciate the help!

  • Re: Uninstall Logos 4 after upgrading?

Patrick, do you have any familiarity with Hazel, the Mac app that sweeps extra files and folders that don't get deleted when one drags an app to the trash? I'm trying to figure out if I should disable Hazel when I delete Logos 4 so that it doesn't inadvertently remove something that L5 needs. However, I'd like Hazel to remove unneeded system files that

    I'm getting the error, too.

  • Re: Help with Ref.ly

No worries, Bryan. It matters to me because I'd rather send people to Biblia than elsewhere so that more people know about the Logos ecosystem of sites and services. I'll check back in a few days to see if its working.

  • Help with Ref.ly

I'm trying to use ref.ly to link to 2 consecutive verses in a Scripture passage and can't seem to do it. I can link to either one verse or 3 or more verses, but not 2 in a row. Is it possible to tweet a link to just 2 verses? Can someone try it out?

  • Trouble with Ref.ly

Hi, I'm trying to use ref.ly to make a link for two consecutive verses. However, when I put in the two verses (e.g. Matthew 22:1-2) I can't get it to make a link to just those two verses. It will only link to the first one. If I make a link for three or more verses, it works fine. I just can't get it to do two. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks

  • CD-ROMs

I'm looking to buy the Word Biblical Commentary set that is only available on CD-ROM. I just want to confirm that I can copy all that on to my computer rather than having to use the CD every time. Probably a dumb question but I want to make absolutely sure before spending $600. And a related question for the Logos gurus - the WBC is not available for

  • Re: Word Study in Romans 14:15

Jack, FWIW I figured it out. I was actually using the ESV Reverse Interlinear...so changed it to NA 27. User error as I suspected. Thanks for the help. Matt *Stops Beating Dead Horse*

Jack, Thanks for such a quick response and my apologies for taking a while to revisit this. I am using NA 27 as well. When I do the Word by Word for Romans 14:15, I get all the hits for the words in the verse. For instance, it shows there are 341 instances of brother, 20 instances of grieved, 17 instances of eat, etc. When I click on the actual Greek

  • Word Study in Romans 14:15

Can anyone reproduce the following error? I do an exegetical search on Romans 14 and it gives me the guide for every verse. I go down to 14:15 and hit the reveal triangle to show the word by word. When I click on the Greek word for "grieved" (NIV is my default English Bible) it opens the Bible Word Study window and shows me that this lemma occurs 20

  • Re: Ready for 10.6?

That makes sense. So if I'm reading the forums correctly, the 1.2.1 update will fix the transliteration issue if I upgrade to Snow Leopard but will then introduce several new issues? Just trying to decide which bugs I'd rather deal with.

@Richard Mansfield Did you say the update fixed the Hebrew transliteration error? I installed 1.2.1 (without upgrading to Snow Leopard) and they still aren't displaying properly for me. Did I misunderstand because I'd REALLY like to get that bug fixed.

Bob, thank you for the gracious and thoughtful response. I'm only a newcomer to this discussion. But having just purchased Logos for Mac a couple of months ago, this gives me great confidence in the company's transparency and integrity.

  • Re: Logos Bible Software for Mobile Devices

I'm sure you've already looked at existing iPhone Bible readers but if I may, I'd like to put a plug in for an interface similar to that of Olive Tree. A Logos application that would mimic the functionality of Olive Tree would be absolutely perfect. The only difference would be that one's account would be more dynamically linked to their library rather

  • Re: Hebrew Font

I'm having the same problem - Greek appears fine but Hebrew is transliterated. I called support about this last week and they told me it was a conflict with Safari. I thought the recent update was going to fix it but apparently it did not.
