Perhaps something is wrong on the Logos end of things then, since I am getting it on the windows side as well.

  • Re: Greek font in L4?

Thanks for this. I needed to switch to th BibleWorks Greek font so papers I email to my profs at school who only use BW can actually see the greek I am quoting and not just missing font hash.

  • L4 Mac not sync-ing library mytags This is an old problem left over from Alpha, and I didn't think it was worth bothering folks with then, but I don't know how to fix it now that the app has gone live. I have created mytags in the library on the Windows side for every book I have, but many never got synchronized over. Can anyone make a suggestion how to fix this? Thanks

  • Re: Tags versus Collections: What are the differences in usage?

The other thing that collections is useful for that I don't think has been mentioned yet is the parallel resources. I was a Libronix user and loved that feature and was excited when Logos brought that back into L4. I personally use it with lexicons and commentries. Someday I do hope the serial resources will be brought back as well.

  • Re: A22 Release Before National Camp Logos

Jason, you may want to check the documentation for the camp. When I attended, Morris specifically stated that he would not be covering the Mac version and that all users needed to be on the windows version for the camp.

  • Context Menu clipped

When i right click on pretty much anything in a book, the right pane bottom shows "Add a note to . . ." for the three notes I have open (No they don't work, I just have them in there from my layout I use in windows) and then "add a clipping" but the text for add a clipping is actually cut off at the bottom and you cannot even see "Show information"

  • Searching products not currently owned

Logos 3 offered the ability to search locked resources, which sometimes prompted me to purchase a resource I was previously unaware had material I was interested in. I think Logos could benefit from some way to research using products not currently owned. For example, I am working on my thesis and need to research works referencing 1Cor 15. I would

  • Notes don't open from verse link

This undoubtedly has been brought up somewhere else but I cannot think of the appropriate terms to search for. Here is my problem. I am one of those obnoxious notes users who uses notes far beyond the original intended purpose. As such, I have many note entries in any particular note file, linked to specific verses (i,e Galatians 1:1 has its own note

  • Re: Note flag appears mid-word

I just found that the note flag is now appearing mid-word in Windows, so whatever happened to it coming from Windows to Mac is replicating back to the Windows side. However, the flag for the note I created on a specific word while in L4M came across in its normal ppropriate place to the left of the word.

  • Re: L4 Mac not sync-ing library mytags

Glenn, here are my files, and I have an entertaining story to tell you. After I did the print screen I got a prompt to install the newest patch, which I did. When I opened L4M again I was able to see the tags on two of my books which had previously been invisible. That would be the bottom Left and bottom right books on the two different screen shots

  • Re: Searching for null value

I think I have figured out a much simpler solution to searching for null values (fields with no data) at least within the library window. title:* ANDNOT {fieldname}:* so, for example, I have been trying to filter for books I haven't tagged yet so my query is: title:* ANDNOT mytag:* this assumes that every book in the library has a title. Since wildcards

  • Re: Searching for null value

Todd, I certainly do not doubt that, however it presumes use of the rating field. I have tagged almost all my books (a few new ones I haven't done yet) but I have not taken the time to rate any books other than the ones I have either read or use regularly, which leaves me a huge portion of my library which does not work with that form of query. :-)

  • Re: L4 Mac not sync-ing library mytags Glenn, This is definitely strange. At the point that I posted that it was not visible, but now is. However, in the 2 screen shots I did show the ante-nicene with the visible tags, but also one with the post-nicene with some showing tags and some not. All are tagged however.

  • Re: L4 Mac not sync-ing library mytags

Tom, Thank you for your reply. It has taken me a while to get back to you on this because I have been testing a few things. Here is what I have done and found out. 1. I created a layout while in L4M with a dozen or so books missing tags 2. In L4W I opened that layout and tagged all books in the layout as tagfix 3. In L4M I verified that the tagfix tag

  • Academic Pricing variance

I have encountered a situation several times now and I am curious if anybody can explain what is going on. I am a seminary student working towards a degree. • Re: 13a - Keyboard Shortcuts and Focus

Keyboard shortcuts greatly simplify things all the way around. I am sure they will be implemented eventually, since they do work at least to some extent on the windows side. However, I think that a greater allowance for keyboard usage would be great. Of course my ideal would be for Logos to setup a function map such as many games offer to allow users

  • Exegetical Guide target

In L3 - I am sure everyone is tired of having L4 compared to L3, but what else are we to compare this nearly perfect product with? - yet I digress, In L3 when I used the Exegetical guide and selected a grammatical artical it opened a book in a window (expected behavior). After that any other grammatical links I selected all opened in the same window
