  • Re: Academic Pricing and Dynamic Pricing Combined?

Not all resources qualify for an academic discount, but if a series applies to academic pricing and you own some of the set, then both discounts will apply. Same with purchasing base packages. If you click the little grey question mark next to the price you can see the breakdown between the academic and the dynamic discounts.

  • Re: Educated but not activated...?

MJ, how would you envision that working?? Would a passage list of scriptures function as a list of scriptures to pray? I'm interested in hearing what you think should be implimented! Especially if it coils be shared in a FL group or printed out as something I could share with a small group of some sorts.

Similarly, what recommendations would everyone have regarding original language prioritizations - specifically for words studies and the like? Along with Jonathan, I don't read/speak either Greek or Hebrew and just kinda guessed when I prioritized! I'm working with L3 Scholars and recently L6 Gold standard. Thanks!!

This is an interesting question!! And how it relates to using the software adds a different dimension to Logos for me now. My first thought is: I know it has enlivened my conversation and fellowship with the people around me, and has definitely spurred several really engaging talks about the word. That in turn has really sharpened my understanding and

I'm curious, for those who have purchased the series as part of a base package, will they/we need to purchase this title separately or will it be added to our library As part of the series? I know in the past there have been series upgrades for some sets. is there a way to tell?

Mike, You feel my pain! As my youth often say: "The struggle is real." 😁 Thanks for your experienced opinion. I'll watch the web link for sure. It's good to know I work with these guys all the time and can always follow up with them. A camp logos trip in the future would be ideal (though not likely.) I'm wondering, does Logos/FL ever do on-site training

Mark, sounds good! I feel like I'm tracking my thoughts in the right direction. Lynden, definitely! i think I may send an email with links to the Logos Pro videos and maybe a couple Faithlife todays as well. I may search the forum threads to see if there's a particularly helpful one for newbies. I'm trying to be careful not to overwhelm them, I remember

I just purchased those Friday and it's been helpful in thinking through what to share. Pinning it to the toolbar? That's a great idea! Funny I didn't think of that earlier. Consider it done. If if I was to print a couple pages for the guys and hand them out, would that infringe on copyright?

  • Looking for any suggestions on teaching logos 6

Hello All! Several pastors at my church have Logos 6 (a couple silvers and a gold package) but... Don't know how to use it! i was talking with one of them the other day and it struck me that he had such a great library, but no idea how to impliment any of it! He was basically using it as an e-reader for his bible. i I quickly took his laptop and showed

  • Re: Help: Search Everything is Not Finding What I'm Asking For

Thanks for the response! I felt silly asking such a simple question, but that makes sense. I think I will reindex my library and try again (I assume that would be the proper fix.) I am trying to help my sister in some personal studies and I found my lack of results disturbing. Apparently, looking for it in the right place will help as well...

  • Help: Search Everything is Not Finding What I'm Asking For

Sorry if this is a question that has already been answered elsewhere, I could not find it on the forum search (ironic considering what I'm asking help for.) I am trying to find information on Rabbinic Schools (the training young men and boys went through) and my Everything Search comes up with nothing in my library. BUT "Rabbinic School" is clearly

  • Re: Using prayer lists as to-do lists

As a man that loves list and the many software applications that can creatively make To Do Lists about creating more To Do Lists, this is great! I never thought of it before (sometimes it's the simplest of things that are overlooked.) Creating a short-list of chapters/topics to read would be quick and easy... only after I'm done praying for the people

  • Re: Resources on Transgender

Homosexuality and Transgender issues are definitely two different subjects to tackle (ministering to a lesbian woman and a gay man would benefit from a different approach, as well). It's seems they get lumped together because the community shares a similar cause, especially in their pursuit of Civil Liberties. Understanding the different terms would

Ha! I meant rescue, though I do figure both are apt!! Depending on which way you respond to God's call to repentance!

I'd second Dan on his recommendation. I own the print copy of "The Complete Guide" (and we keep several copies in our resource cabinets of Pastoral Care References at our Church) and have also heard Joe Dallas and Dr Heche speak at a conference on the topic of ministry to those with Same Sex Attractions (SSA). I've been waiting for it to come to Logos

  • Re: Learning to shop better on Logos

Now that you mention it, with 10's of thousands of books available, there's probably so much more that I would love to purchase that I don't even realize! I'm not sure if this is a good thing... Or a bad thing! I've often searched through publishers that I like and trust or titles and authors I know of. Maybe a highlighted author or the month on the

Joining the conversation on this one from another thread. No citations into pages for me. I'm open to the third party workaround, but would most definitely appreciate it to cite through logos (that's what it was designed to do.
