Yeah, I've been pretty disappointed this time. I'm getting tired of seeing the same old faces year after year. And all votes seem to be along party lines. Does no one vote strategically in this thing? Personally, I think they should offer something fresh like maybe stacking commentaries or commentary sets against each other. Could do the same with dictionaries

  • Re: Microsoft Surface

I think you've nailed it there, David. As the cool factor of macs grew exponentially, and the behemoth that is MS continued to blunder along, Logos probably hired programmers and designers who were born with a mac in their cradle. Mac users seem to have trouble seeing anything good about MS products. There's just a general disinterest in them. The first

  • CRASH on startup

OK, this is the third time I've tried to post this. If the other two posts actually materialize I apologize for duplicating. Logos 5 is crashing while loading. It started about a week ago. At first I thought it might be Windows 7 updates so I rolled those back but it didn't help. I've recently downloaded a number of new items to my library so presume

  • Crash on login

Hi, I started having problems with L5 crashing a few days ago. Thought it was due to a Windows updates so have rolled those back but now Logos is crashing straight after login. I've followed the instructions to enable logging. I'm assuming a new log will show today's date, but the only logs I have are from 2011.

  • Skipping book covers when backing up

Is there a way to avoid backing up logos book covers when I do a back up in Android. I've got 5000+ covers and every time I try to back up my Galaxy it hangs half way through the photo backup. At present I have to copy the logos covers folder to my pc, then delete it from the phone, then backup my photos, then restore the covers folder. The whole process

  • Image / Book Cover location

Can anyone tell me where the book cover images are located in Logos for Android, and is it possible to move them? Everytime I want to load my phone's photos to my PC I end up automatically transferring 3200 book images as well. There seems to be no option in any software to prevent re-saving the same files over and over, and I obviously don't want to

  • Re: Buying individual titles in a set

Thanks, Stephen. Seems they just recently split the set. I picked up a new hard copy for $6 in the meantime.

Thanks James. They must have recently split the set up. (The Achtemeier title is Romans, BTW)
I don't get it? Why is this funny? When did it become okay to be personally offensive, particularly on a website dedicated to Bible Software?
I agree. No board should be a forum for personal abuse. I do not wish to post on this matter again.

I don't spend a lot of time on the forums (this last week is highly unusual for me) but this week is the first time in 18 mths or so that they've been mentioned by anyone. (Or maybe they were and I just missed the reference). Just a little surprsied, that's all.
I would second the suggestions to watch the videos by Mark Barnes at www.logos4training.com they are free and very well done and can be downloaded. Also sign up for the free weekly Webinar by John Fallahee at www.learnlogos.com I use Logos 4 quite a lot...these are the training videos I used to learn the program. It's FREE
Where I worked (a large IT shop), we had three people of more-or-less equal experience. We always had a big laugh when new tools came in: Person 1 gathered as many manuals as possible and read them all before touching the tool Person 2 would start to read the manual get bored and simply jump in with both feet - only occasionally
One thing that is bad about such forums is that it is that you often don't have a relationship with the people you interact with. My intent was not to "be short" with anyone, but to defend the right of hard working people to earn a living. For what its worth - Several times I tried to separate the issue I was trying to address

I never raised the issue that people should be able to earn a living producing videos. (That appears, rather, to be your interpretation of the posts). In fact if you read my previous posts you'll see that I'm quite happy for Mr. Proctor to do so. Further, I don't see that anyone else here was questioning that. The questions seem to relate to the expense

I think that's precisely the point: there are a number of people who aren't buying it - probably for the reason you put so bluntly. I would imagine, being equally as blunt here, that that kind of comment comes most easily from people who have their library paid for by their church, or for whom two hundred dollars is a paltry sum. I don't begrudge Morris

  • Camp Logos CD

Is there a "for sale" forum somewhere. Blowed if I can find it. Among other things I'd like to pick up a copy of Camp Logos if someone is finished with it. There was a copy on ebay for just under $100 that I would have nabbed last week but 90% of stuff on ebay can't be shipped out of the US. If there's a forum here for Logos stuff that people want to
