• Re: Can someone please update the Wiki

I have no time to learn how to write in the Wiki anytime soon, and besides that, writing is for people who know the program. I haven't even figured out the basics yet. That's kind of why I need the Wiki...

  • Re: Hebrew Text Display Glitches

Weird. I looked at these exact verses yesterday, so, naturally, seeing your post, I wondered how on earth I could have not noticed this. Now that I've opened Logos again, I find that there isn't much to notice. I have perfectly normal spaces between all words that you mention. And I use BHS/WIVU on Mac.

  • Can someone please update the Wiki

The page on Bookmarks needs to be updated for Mac. Especially since control-shift for Windows turned out not to be command-shift for Mac, like it normally is, but command-option-shift. Also the section on how to add/exclude a collection to/from a collection: it is totally different on Mac (unless the most recent update has changed something). And there

  • BUGS: Greek read aloud + weird window behaviour

    1) Is the Greek 'Read aloud' supposed to work, or is it not implemented yet? I tried it a week or two ago, just to find out what the Greek would sound like -- but instead of giving me audio the text started scrolling super-fast with lots of yellow stars appearing, and there was no way to shut it off, except to press down on the x until the computer
it behooves you to only delete locked-in prices that you know will ship before June 2011, or at least keep your eye on the titles you are interested in very closely.
Fine with me, as long as I know, but I fear you're getting yourselves into trouble. You'll either get inflated figures and send things into production

Matthew Since Dan and I hit the 'Post' button within seconds of each other, and the forum software decided to change the page exactly between our two posts, you obviously missed that Dan has already answered.
when Dan throws away our snap shot, all frozen prices are lost
The question here is 'what is an order?'. Right now, if I click on an upgrade, or if I click on a pre-pub, they are both called 'orders'. Therefore it seems to me, that if I, on June 30, e-mail my sales rep to buy a book already shipped, or if I e-mail

  • Re: Timing of PrePub Releases is detrimental to Logos Sales

Dan Thanks for the offer! Let me just make sure we're on the same page about one detail. You write "Any time after the Pre-Pubs that you originally ordered shipped, you may call your sales rep. and ask them to place your order." and "All orders must be placed before the end of June 2011." Well, since these are pre-pubs, it goes without saying that some

Sorry, this probably should have been under the Mac forum, but when I started writing it was just about TWOT, and that seemed like a 'General' problem. Then it expanded...

  • Problems with/questions about BWS

    1) I just tried out my first Bible Word Search, for qadosh . The other dictionaries worked fine, but TWOT instead returned words like qidda and qadam . Turns our TWOT lists qadosh under qadash (no waw , hence another place in the alphabetical order). Obviously, TWOT ought to find it anyway, but it doesn't. Before reporting this, someone with better

  • Re: I would like to know how many languages could one speak?

The 'worst' I knew of was Cardinal Mezzofanti, but looking him up he 'only' seems to have spoken 39 fluently, while an Emil Krebs obviously mastered 68, and studied 120 (!) more. We've got a 29-year-old in southern Sweden who's studied 21, at various levels. Most of them dead, though. But on the other hand he didn't include Swedish on the list (!),

  • Suggestion: Jewish lectionary

Yesterday, reading a post by Andrew under 'Jewish resources in Portfolio', I was reminded that before all this excitement over Logos, I had actually planned to spend the next year reading through the Pentateuch following the Jewish lectionary. Since their liturgical year has only just started, it is by no means to late to catch up, but it would be easier

Thanks! (Though it's a bit surprising it hasn't been discovered before, when I noticed it the first week... Hard to believe everyone else wants the Eusebian Canons at the top... )
