  • Why is prioritized resource not prioritized?

I have Aland's Synopsis prioritized, right below the Bibles at the top. Why, then, is it so far down in Parallell Passages that I even have to click on "more resources" to see it?

  • Suggestion: The Revelations of St. Birgitta of Sweden

Today is the day of St Birgitta/Bridget/Brigid*, patron saint of Sweden and Europe, so I thought I'd celebrate the occasion by suggesting her Revelations for Logos. There's a nice new translation into English going on (the first complete ever!). Since she's become so totally forgotten in the English-speaking world, let me quote from Amazon: "St. Birgitta

I'm with you Stuart! I hate the zoom! Only use it when I absolutely have to. Besides, it doesn't even solve our problem. The panes with tiny text are normally situated along the edges of the screen. If I zoom, they are the first to disappear!

  • Re: Lexham Discourse Hebrew Bible Bundle - still "Gathering Interest"

OK, since so many people are so extremely positive to these resources: I did my Greek and Hebrew some 20 years ago (before computers), and I did them in Sweden (where they seem to be taught differently). The Hebrew is pretty much in a coma, but the Greek's still got some life in it, at least, and I'm trying to find the time to work on them both. What

[quote user="Abi Gail"] [quote user="fgh"](As for Josephus, Jews consider him a traitor (he worked for the Romans, after all). Was not Saul (Paul) a Roman, and a Jew, before he was called a Christian

As for Jewish views on the ending/resuming of sacrifices there should be a lot in the Talmud when it ships. In the meantime there are some quotes on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korban#The_end_of_sacrifices , and also further down the page. I presume there is stuff among the Jewish resources in Portfolio as well. As for a Christian view: maybe a search

You'll end up with an awful lot of spam if you publish your e-mail openly like that...I suggest you disguise it quickly, before the search engines find it.

This is really really urgent!! It's an irreversible health issue, not just an annoyance. It's destroying my eyes to have to look 5-10 cm from the screen; and it's destroying the rest of my body having to bend over in awkward positions all the time. Please please fix this soon! And please make the normal Mac commands of command-+ and command-- work for

Dominick I believe that's in the Talmud (I guess I'll find out for sure when it ships): one Messiah ben Josef (sic!), and one Messiah ben David. But we're getting away from Moses here, so we should probably leave it at that.

Rabbi Eric Forgive me for asking this again, but you do know about the Early Judaism Bundle and the Hebrew Bible Bundle, don't you? Todd Thanks! I'll look into it when I get some time.

  • Re: Jewish Resources in Portfolio

Dan I don't have them yet, but the first thing I would do would be to prioritize the JPS Commentaries. But I presume you've thought of that. The second thing I would do would be to use the dictionary/encyclopaedia kind of resources for researching 'anything Jewish' that turns up in the texts: holy days, marriage customs, mosaic laws, ritual objects

Since I'm new here: does Logos always send out 'Last Chance' e-mails on pre-pubs that's going up to normal price? Because I can't remember getting one on Hermeneia, though I've certainly gotten ones on everything else that's shipped lately, or is about to. If they always do, and others haven't gotten it either, we should be fine as long as that e-mail

I just reacted to Pam's statement, without noticing what forum I was in. Besides, it's not like this forum is used only for PC issues, the way the Mac forum is used only for Mac. There are plenty of threads that are important to all (eg the one on missing files in Hermeneia), so unfortunately I have to follow it. It would be much easier for people like

Or perhaps the problem is that I use Mac? But if the translation's been done, the developers should be able to fix the rest, when they find time, so I guess it's good news anyway. After all, it's not like I desperately need it, it's just nicer.
