Having upgraded to Logos 6 none of my Visual Filters appear in the resource Visual Filters menu. I can find them in my Documents area , but none of my Bibles show any of them available to turn on. Any ideas what I am doing wrong or is this a bug?

I haven't used it in a couple of weeks but Logos 5 is telling me the "Clause Search is disabled because the necessary resources are not available". What happened? It was working fine the last time I used it before Thanksgiving. Running Update Resources from the Command Box finds now updates available.

I am having no problems with Logos on Mavericks even when running and using Pages. I take notes in Pages while using Logos everyday.
-
I am not aware of any way to limit Visual Filters to a number of occurrences.
-
The problem lies in the new Pages 5 rather than in Mavericks. Pages 5 has left out many features which were available in Pages 09 (4.3).
Alan is correct - this has to do with changes made to Pages, not Mavericks.

No new problems with Mavericks - running like it was before I upgraded to 10.9

Can anyone confirm for me if the Starter Library includes ROOT searching capabilities?

Thanks Mark - That seems to have solved it although it is rebuilding my entire index now. Hopefully that will get things back where they were before. Thanks for the help.

Didn't mean to interject on someone else's thread of the same topic. My guess is that if each person that has the same issue starts a new thread this forum will be filled to capacity quite quickly....but here we go. Since the update this morning Logos crashes on startup every time I try to launch. Can anyone offer advice? Was working fine before update

Ok - found the files - deleted LibraryIndex - still crashes at startup. Do I need to delete everything in the Data folder except Resource Manager? Anyone else know how to get my over $5000 worth of software to work?
/Users/[INSERT YOUR USERNAME]/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/[Unique ID#]/
I do not have a Library folder under my username in Users. I assume it is hidden - using Mountain Lion 10.8.4
If so, have you added any custom search ranges?
Not that I am aware of - I do have the mobile app on both my iPhone 4s and my iPad mini
If it still doesn't start, you can wipe out the custom searches in the Logos systems folder. There are instructions on here somewhere. I use a Mac, and
Sorry, Bradley but after years of being told things are going to be fixed in the next update, it starts to get a little old. Do you have any idea how frustrating it is for a pastor to have his Bible software unresponsive on Friday afternoon and then be told I can't use the Bible Search on the software? I am a diehard Logos

Jo, I got an email about an additional post asking about why Graph Results was greyed out, but I don't see the post here. Did you resolve the question and delete it?
-
Those are good ideas Jo - as Mark Barnes points out much of that work can be done looking at the individual root and graphing the results. Quick question - has Logos 5 completely finished indexing? The program can be very sluggish while indexing. You should have an icon in your menu bar that will show you when Logos is downloading and indexing.
-
The performance is significantly better for me. Very, very noticable.

It appears that the Hebrew letter forms in the search have been changed. In L4 the search - lemma:ארץ - in Jeremiah found 271 hits - in L5 it finds 0 In L5 the search - lemma:אֶ֫רֶץ - in Jeremiah finds the 271 hits - the difference seems to be the inclusion of letter points - they must be present for L5 to find the hits.
-
I am not using L4 any longer. I upgraded to L5. I did the original searches in L4 and saved them. Now when I run them in L5 I get no results. I am not sure how the search - lemma:ארץ - is dependent on one morph form over another. Lemmas are lemmas aren't they?
