• Re: SUGGESTION: a simplified reading app

I don't think that's necessary, because the app isn't particularly slow on e-reader devices. And if you don't need the bells and whistles, just don't use them. Development effort is much better spent on new features and resources that benefit everyone than on supporting legacy devices. I just did some performance comparison on my e-reader and my Samsung

Ah, got it. The "new evidence" is the old edition. What a way to name the revision of the revision... 🙄 Be gone from my wish list, new evidence!
Just a reminder to those who can buy it. There is the updated version of the above in FLEB https://ebooks.faithlife.com/product/137205/evidence-that-demands-a-verdict-life-changing-truth-for-a-skeptical-world
I already have that, but I thought the "new evidence" was the updated version...
I picked this book up, but returned it as it's effectively a condensed version of Evidence That Demands a Verdict. Well worth getting if you don't already have the latter, although the latter seems to be on sale fairly regularly for $4.99 - only if you live in the USA though now.
It is indeed, but as a reference volume

  • Re: Need e-reader recommendation for Logos

I used to have an Onyx device running Android 2.3 in the past. Logos stopped working for good when the TLS patch was introduced a year ago. It's a myth that Logos stopps working once the underlying Android version is no longer supported. It starts degrading, but that's a slow process. It basically means, any resources that require app features introduced
If it was buyable from the Logos store
I doubt it was. The blurb matches with the blurb from ebooks, which was submitted by the publisher. Blurbs on Logos.com, at least all of those I've seen so far, seem to have been provided by FL. And the book is not on the archived John Flavel author page of the classic website

Assuming that FL will also support other Android versions for 5 years in the future: Android 7 was releaed in August 2016, which means it could be supported

The new Galaxy Tabs running on Android 10 (and to be upgraded to Android 11 next year) are likely to be released shortly. If you can hold off the purchase for a bit longer, it might be worth it. A mid-range Galaxy Tab costs $150 to $200. Kindle Fire tablets are more on a budget level than the Galaxy Tab, however, I believe you get more for your money
