Microsoft Office Starter with "light" versions of Word and Excel has also become free to download: http://c2r.microsoft.com/ConsumerC2R/en-us/14.0.4763.1000/SetupConsumerC2ROLW.exe

You get about 99% of your resources that way. For whatever reason, a few books can't be pushed to the mobile devices.

Most fatal accidents actually happen at home. If you want to live: Go out to the beach, to the park, to the shopping mall etc.

You're subscribed to the Vyrso freebies mailing list that I run. You've also got a LinkedIn account. Now what's obviously happened a few weeks ago is that LinkedIn sees you as the owner

Most painful thing about Android tablets is the fact that storing the library on memory card usually is not possible. Most Android devices have an internal memory card, usually 2 to 4 GB in size. The average Logos library doesn't fit on there, and moving app data to the external card when there's an internal one present, is impossible (unless you root

That's correct, as of April, Windows XP will no longer receive security patches. So will Office 2003. Most third party vendors will stop supplying updates and up to date versions for Windows XP soon after (anti virus tools, Logos, and probably many others). So equipment that's 11 years old will come to an end of life now. That's actually not too bad

Hi, I just noticed a couple of inconstistencies in my library. Some resources show as installed whereas in fact they're not. This happened as a result of me experimenting to switch between internal and external memory card... Trying to open one of these resources will result in an error message... Is there any way to force the app to do a discovery

The memory card in the galaxy tab just seems to be glued on: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/33743-external-sd-card-only-guide/ The Kobo seems to have an integrated microSD slot: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2493538&postcount=4 I think there might be some chance to get this working, but as I said, I'd only have it done by an authorized

I've done a lot of research on that topic over the weekend, and I think I understand enough now to give an answer. Moving to external memory card necessarily requires root access. Android by itself can't natively move any app to any other location than the phone memory or the first memory card (which happens to be the internal one if it exists). Solutions

I've managed to get the Logos Android app running on the Tolino, an e-ink device from Germany. Got the idea ages ago on this forum in this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/69263/481547.aspx Anyway, I've compiled all relevant information in English here: http://www.heidoc.net/joomla/bible-apps/74-logos-bible-app-on-an-e-ink-device Jan

I found the solution. Both my Win 8.1 installations lost their activation after I added the Media components that came as a free add-on with Win 8.0. Apparently they're not licensed to work on Win 8.1 (lots of irritated users on the MS forums...) Anyway, when the system is not activated, the lock screen can't be changed. That includes the Logos app

[quote user="Alan Macgregor"]However, that is going to change in a short time according to HMRC (Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs). As I understand it, in 2015 we shall have to pay 20% VAT on all online purchases from wherever they are purchased outside the EU (European Union). Still not working. I installed Win 8.1 on my second PC now, and the same thing happened. I didn't update through the Windows Store, but did a fresh installation with an original Win 8.1 DVD.

I've purchased a Tolino Shine device to see whether I can get Logos/Vyrso to run on it: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/69263/502181.aspx It's currently with my parents in Germany, waiting for the next chance to be shipped to Cambodia. It'll update you all once I can get my hands on it. If it works out, I'll produce some instructions in English

Thanks for clarifying. Just wanted to make sure I've not messed up my fresh installation after one day. :-o I'm using Win 8.1 RTM. (Isn't it like 1.30 AM for you over there? Quite an unusual time for forum support ;-)

Yes! That did the Job! Thanks a lot! There seems to be a minor glitch. I was able to scan c:\, however, any subfolders are not working though. Jan

Hi, I've noticed the lock screen doesn't get updated on Windows 8.1. Is this a known issue, or just a Problem with my Installation? Jan

Hi, After a routine Windows reinstallation, I just wanted to add the last bunch of lbxlls resources which I rescued from Libronix almost 5 years ago. I had to discover that the command box is no longer working in the localised Logos application, so the scan command doesn't work. I assume the commands have all been translated as well. However, there
