  • Re: version 5.1 shuts down frequently

You are correct, sorry. I did find on the beta forum how to opt out of testing and that enabled me to download the standard app.

Build 501003460 Downloaded from Amazon play store when these problems occurred on the beta version so thought it was not the beta. How do I get back to the not beta version?

  • version 5.1 shuts down frequently

I have a Samsung S6 phone and Samsung 10.1 tablet, both with latest android software. Frequently when I open it up, it quickly shuts down. Sometimes states it cannot find license, sometimes when I try to load a new resource, sometimes while reading. Tried deleting and reinstalling, both devices continue to get same result.

  • text comparison question

I find text comparison a helpful feature. I have it in "follow" mode so that I can take a quick glance at how other translators translate a given word or phrase. One issue I have with it is that it follows verse by verse until I go to the next chapter or a book (such as a commentary) which discusses a sequence of verses in that chapter, then the text

Updating to 2.6.8 fixed the problem.

  • android4.4 resource text

Updated to 4.4 and the resource text appears as an outline type font. Does Logos need to fix this? Hopefully I'm not stuck with this font. Can't find a place to change resource font, just the size.

  • Re: Logos for Android - Needed Improvements

Jelly Bean 4.3 fixes the language. The split panels are too easy to adjust for me to fret and' since I use my laptop for study, the rest is moot. I can say that what I get is very satisfying (couldn't say that when I had an old 4.0 Android. Could be time to update your equipment).

  • Re: Can I view only my Bibles in my library?

I use "favorites" to accomplish what you might be looking forward. I have multiple categories of favorites (Bibles, Commentaries, Dictionaries, etc.) and then place in those categories the volumes I use most. Functions the same as a "category" and makes easy access to the books I mostly use on my phone and tablet.

  • Re: Nexus 7 Question

We have never been able to do word studies or searches when offline on the Android app, unless I missed it. Supposedly this is a future development.

  • Re: Android vs IOS

I had a Kindle, I sold it because I tired quickly with Amazon's control and didn't want to go the route of rooting. I now have a Nexus 7. It is very nice for reading. The screen on the 7 is a bit small to think of doing a lot of typing, I use it for a Bible when I am on the road and also for reading while away from my laptop. I have also used an Acer

  • Re: Hebrew Vowel pointing not aligned

I can't recall the link, but I was at a site earlier tonight that listed the various devices with the manufacturers stated intentions regarding upgrade to 4.2. My Droid bionic is an affirmative, my Acer A500 is a nyet, although Acer is upgrader newer models. Looking through the list, it appeared that if the manufacturer thought the device to be new

  • Re: Hebrew Vowel Points Do Not Line Up

Since Olive Tree Hebrew and Greek work fine and have since the beginning of their Android App, it is no doubt Logos and not Android. It clearly isn't a priority for them. I think they are emphasizing English Bible study tools rather than original language exegesis. Does anyone know if iphone/ipad uses have the same problem?

  • Re: "Welcome" Page Advertising

new beta version ends this thread. You only have to see the advertisements if you choose to goo to the home page, same as the laptop/desktop version. Now you'll have to go there yourself each month to learn what the free download is.

I doubt the issue with Hebrew pointing is android or the fact that Hebrew is right to left. Hebrew has always worked great on my android devices when using Olivetree.

  • Re: "Welcome" Page Advertising

I don't know their business plan, the advertisements must fit into it. I'm more suggesting that we have it too good and so have too few real problems. If you don't want the emails, you can unsubscribe. If you get to the home page on your computer, you either have your preferences set to open to open Logos to the home page or you went there yourself

  • Re: "Welcome" Page Advertising

I can mention several disappointments in the app. I guess we could always ask Obama to give Logos some Obama bucks to pay for the continued development and support of our "free" stuff. Maybe he could also give them some extra Obama bucks so they don't have to worry about the competition. The red herring may really be the mindset that someone else should

  • Re: "Welcome" Page Advertising

The app may be free, but it is pretty useless if you haven't spent money on the full program. If you look at the advertisements for purchasing Logos Bible Programs, a major plus is the fact that you can have it on your computer, tablet and phone and they sync (although mine don't always appear to be syncing with any consistency). I guess if you purchased

  • Re: Ver 1.0.3 Comments

I don't use mobile favorites. My desktop favorites show up when I select favorites on my Android devices. Both my Droid and my Kindle Fire work fine this way. I select a book in favorites, the device loads it and I am able to read, search or whatever the functinn of the particular book is. Only problems I have had has been when I select a book that

I have added categories such as you mention on my desktop: Grammars, Dictionaries, etc. When I access "favorites" on my Android device, the listed of favorites show up. I can then select what I need. It is a good way to organize your most used volumes and access them quickly.

  • Re: Logos 4 & Kindle Fire

I have had a Kindle Fire since it first came out and have had Logos Android App installed from the beginning. It is a nice tablet for the money, but Amazon limits your options. These options are not related to Logos, which functions about the same on all tablets. If I were to do it again, I would buy an Acer or a Transformer. They have more memory options
