• Re: Traditional Jewish commentary on Psalm 8: 4-6

Interesting, this is the one complaint that I keep getting on various forums. I going to have to make sure that I use larger font sizes.

And, here is a translation of the quote from Talmud posted here earlier: "R. Jehudah said in the name of Rabh: At the time the Holy One, blessed be He, was about to create a man, He created a coetus of angels, and said to them: Would ye advise me to create a man? And they asked Him: What will be his deeds? And He related before them such and such. They
It comes in many versions. Start with Midrash Tankhuma ( Buber Edition), Parshat bekhukotai 6:12 and in the Talmud: Sanhedrin 4
Great Answer, I'll give you a home run for this one! Sanhedrin 4 (38b) אמר רב יהודה א"ר בשעה שבקש הקב"ה לבראות את האדם ברא כת אחת של מלאכי השרת אמר להם רצונכם נעשה אדם בצלמנו אמרו לפניו רבש

Petitioning Logos: I wonder how many current Logos users would be willing to petition Logos to add more Hebrew search capabilities to Logos4?

  • Re: Still using BibleWorks after installing Logos 4?

In theory Logos' "Hebrew Regular Expression" queries should allow for searching on both the nikkudot and the Ta'amin at the same time. I purchased Logos' WM 4.2 just try and see if it was possible, but I have not yet been able to preform them in either the WM 4.2 or the SESB Library . Of course searching on the Nikkudot works with any trouble, but accents

When, the WIVU database is finally updated to Logos4 I will be happy to install version four(Till, then I will continue to be happy with Logos/Libronix3). But, even when Logos4 adds support for the WIVU database I will still need BibleWorks because it's ability to run queries on the cantillation/accent marks of the Hebrew Bible as well as it's robust
I searched well but can't find the source of this quote. People sometimes quote him as saying תרגום דומה לנשיקה מבעד לצעיף which is better Hebrew but they never provide the source. I heard Amos Oz say it once. I wonder if Bialik actually said this... Do you know where he wrote this?
First, sorry I did not see your
I agree. One senior missionary there, I read, claimed the affected area is the most resistant spiritually in the country. There is 1 church for every 20,000 people.
Therefore, what...What, was the missionary trying to insinuate?

Logos asks, what do you wish you could search for, but can't? I personally would like the ability to: search on cantillation/accent marks or rather the " ta`amei ha-mikra" However, I am also in agreement with David Knoll's request as well:
I would benefit from the following search features: 1) The ability to compare the LXX
... I sometimes wonder if too much resources are being applied to digitizing all and every book under the so-called christian banner while we wait for "tools". ...tools for better learning right from the "Word of God" would make us all better... Thank you both Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones For your speedy reply and advice. It is nice to know someone is listening or rather reading.
