Why would they need to license an existing text? Surely after all these years it is public domain.
Are you talking about: von Gall, August's Der hebräische Pentateuch der Samaritaner (other editions?) or simply the Abisha Scroll manuscript of the Samaritan Pentateuch? I am not sure what the hold up is with the Pentateuch
Whatever happened to Baby Jane the Samaritan Pentateuch?
I, don't know, but I am sure they could easy modify the Pentateuch of their lexham Hebrew Bible and create their own version of the Samaritan Pentateuch. That, should be much easier and quicker than for them to try license an existing text.
Not for me, but it might interest some—so long as you continue to offer "books to own." I suppose there might be an occasional work that would be of interest to rent, but not often. Perhaps a preview period (I know, there is always the 30 day money back offer).
I agree with George Somsel!

Roise, Thank you so much posting here you have been very helpful. I found that there are only about 26 items in the new Biblical Language Package I do not have in some way. And, all I can acquire through either the online store or through a sale representative.

Thank you again! I wonder if Randy Sims and others have put one together that has a listening of the resources in Logos 6 Biblical Language Package to compare that, too. EDIT: POST SCRIPT Although, I am technically unable to put in my cart because I am not an academic, I can see that there are about 28 resources in the new package that I do not own
Dan Pritchett gives the official word from the company on this here . Bottom line: it's OK to mention the names of competitors, as long as it's in a way that is relevant to Logos, and it isn't advertising the competitor's product (e.g., glorifying how much better it is than Logos) or linking to it.
Thank you Roise

Also Abondservant my point and I think the point of this thread is not advertising but to improve Logos, and to get Logos/Faithlife to again offer
I have had the Original Languages package since L3. Now I'm listed as having the Scholars Program, but I'm not sure whether I got that in L3 or L4. It really doesn't matter what they call it: Straw, Wood, Brass … Dilithium
Well, in someways I agree this can be a game of semantics and branding. So, yeah you have
I also had the B.L. series/package. Out of respect for forum rules, once I lost the options to purchase the package in 5 & 6 I went with the "other program" that specifically is aimed at working/studying with the text.
